I will admit, I started using this product before actually reading the directions for use that accompanied it. I was applying it to my face as part of my nightly skincare routine, and I was enjoying it. Since it was developed for sensitive skin, it makes sense that this is an unscented product. It has a nice, soothing texture that isn't too rich or heavy, so it isn't overly occlusive for my partly oily/combination skin. It's formulated with colloidal oatmeal and it leaves my face feeling soft and hydrated. So when I finally read the directions for use, I was kind of surprised to discover the following: "Uses: Temporarily protects and helps relieve minor skin irritations and itching due to •rashes •eczema •poison ivy, oak, or sumac •insect bites". WOAH! So this is more of an 'as needed' product? And not necessarily just for my face? Is it better suited for my first aid kit than my bathroom vanity? Wow. I mean, that's okay, of course, but I feel like Olay ought to make that distinction clearer, and perhaps a bit more obvious and intuitive. They could make a start in that direction by not packaging it in the same shape and style of jar that all their facial skincare products come in. But, unfortunately, I did a little more research, and I found some depressing news. While Olay has 'officially' called for an end to animal testing in cosmetics and skincare products, they still willingly and knowingly sell their products in countries where cruel tests are required by law. Therefore, Olay products are NOT cruelty-free. They are tested on immobilized and terrified cats, rats, and rabbits. Not only is that horribly barbaric and completely unnecessary, it's ridiculously hypocritical, too. Olay obviously cares more about their own profits than the pain and suffering of innocent animals. I mean, what kind of monster deliberately hurts CATS?? Sorry, Olay, but for a beauty company, that stuff's just ugly.

This moisturizer applies smoothly and absorbs really well into the skin. I liked how a little went a long way. Just a small amount on about 2 of my fingers and it covered almost one side of my face. It absorbed quickly and didn't really leave any residue feeling. My facial skin is very sensitive and I really hoped that this moisturizer wouldn't make me itchy with a reaction. Unfortunately I started to have a bit of an itch around my face. I think my facial skin just doesn't like me trying new things, especially something that is supposed to help it. *sigh* But overall the moisturizer is very nice but wasn't for me sadly.

It is a colloidal oatmeal skin protectant moisturizer and is fragrance free. It was a great experience. I love the texture as I put it on. Also, it absorbed right in with no greasy film. It protects all day. I would recommend this product to anyone that has sensitive skin. I will definitely put it in my skin regiment.

I appreciated that there are no smells or perfumes and it truly looks and feels like it's made for sensitive skin. Any product with oatmeal is great for calming the skin. Olay Ultimate Sensitive Colloidal Oatmeal Skin Protectant Moisturizer is fragrance free and perfect for calming the skin. I was impressed with it's light creamy texture & blend-ability. Only a small amount is needed to blend across the whole face. My skin is mature and tends to be dry and red often with a uneven appearance. I tested this product in the a.m. & p.m. and it reduced the redness on my face while making my skin look and feel smooth & hydrated. This fragrance free moisturizer felt wonderful, cool & calming to my face and I would definitely recommend it!

I live in the South, where it is frequently sunny, so I am constantly struggling with very dry skin. I'm always looking for for ways to restore the moisture, especially on my face and neck without creating irritation because I have extremely sensitive skin. My skin feels highly hydrated after application. There is no oily residue, just amazing hydration! It soaked into my skin nicely, and it was so light like I wasn't wearing anything on my face. I'm a little over fifty years old, and I prefer to look and feel natural, so I don't wear much makeup, but I do want my skin to be well moisturized. This does the job wonderfully. I believe that most people and skin types may use this and benefit greatly from it. I am submitting a review for Olay Ultimate Sensitive Colloidal Oatmeal Skin Protectant Moisturizer. I was thrilled to try this product from the trusted brand, Olay. It is very soothing, creamy, and fast-absorbing. It didn't feel heavy or greasy. The moisturizer is fragrance-free which I'm thankful for and is absolutely imperative for me. I have sensitive, combination skin, and I have to be extremely selective with products. Otherwise, I risk very irritated eyes/allergic conjunctivitis. The sensitive colloidal oatmeal moisturizer did not cause me any problems and did a very nice job of making my skin feel soft and nourished. I would definitely recommend this to any male or female of any age, and it will be appreciated by those combating irritated/inflamed and/or dry skin. I bet it would be good for summer sunburned skin and winter dry, chapped skin.

First, let's start saying that this is a moisturizer for sensitive skin, made with colloidal oatmeal make it a soft product but effective. I have been having problems with dry and comedogenic skin, so it is hard for me to find a moisturizer that will be effective for my skin. Trying out this moisturizer on my skin was lovely, my skin felt hydrated and soft, and I didn't feel like it clogged my pores, my acne and redness toned down by a lot. So I would definitely would recommend this moisturizer, if you struggle with redness, dryness, irritation and similar skin problems, this moisturizer is for you, it will work wonders!!

I feel like there are not enough moisturizers out there for sensitive skin. First of all it is fragrance free. Definitely a plus for me. This moisturizer seems thick in the jar. When I put it on my face it spreads well. I put it on while my skin was still slightly damp. It absorbs into skin quickly. Another plus. And it didn't leave my skin looking shiny. It seems to moisturize well. I think it would work well as a summer moisturizer.
