Mine are the old style ltx and 6 years old with 87,000 current miles on them. The vehicle came with lattitudes that wore out at 77,000. I rotate myself every 5,000 and keep track of the correct rotation in a book. They show slight signs of sun wear and I'll change them before the next winter with an amazing amount of tread left. People still ask if I just bought new tires. Best handling, noise and wear tires I've ever owned!

These are the worst tires I have ever owned. I have another set on my Tacoma which I bought a couple of year's ago. Those were the best tire I have owned. This new version vibrates and shakes horrible between 65-75 miles sn hour. I had them rebalanced which did nothing. Regret the day I bought these. I was always a Michelin guy but I am rethinking that now.

Got rid of stock tires at 1800 miles first rain slid across road. Not driving family in a unsafe truck. Got the Defender LTX M/S 285 45 22. Night and day no questions asked. Smoother ride and a lot less noise. The tires r well worth the $$$. Last set LTX MS got 70,000 miles. Just go buy them

I purchased 4 Michelin Defender Tires from a local tire dealer on 6/7/17. I drove the vehicle for a few days and noticed a vibration in the steering wheel at 60 mph and higher. I originally thought there was an issue with my vehicle but I was able to have my truck looked at by my local dealership and discovered that the problem wasn't with my vehicle but with the tires themselves. My dealership explained that I had 3 tires which were out of spec during the road force balance. I'm currently awaiting my tires to be replaced but the distributor I purchased them from is dragging their feet on the process. How can 3 out of 4 tires be bad?

My first several hundred miles remind me why I like Michelin tires. Smooth, responsive, quiet, sure footing. I drive mostly highway miles but have a mix of primary and secondary roads and the Defenders are a very nice match for both types of surfaces.

I was told that these tires could be put on my Ford Taurus SEL, He said theses tires were for a car, then I told him that LTX means for Light Truck. I love the tires and they handle excellant, but I still have my doubts about these tires being for a car. So you tell me Michelin.

Since I have bought my Michelin Defender LTX M/S a month ago I have enjoyed a few benefits that other wise would have alluded me. first the ride is second to none. you don't realize this until you have new tires, gas mileage has increased and sure footed feel is the best! Thank you Michelin!

I have 30k on these tires and they wore abnormally down the middle, despite keeping proper air pressure and rotating them. The original LTX M/S2 tires were the best tire I ever owned and what made me a Michelin customer. These new Defenders may look like the old design, but are clearly inferior.

Always enjoyed Michelin tires. An avid fan...Live in So Cal. Have a bought new 2015 Ram 2wd std cab, 6'4" bed truck. Installed a new set (4) of the 275/60-20 Defender LTXs @ 39,241 miles in June 2017...... Excellent handling, very low tire noise at all speeds and outstanding performance in wet weather. Tires have been rotated every 6K to 8K miles in a figure 8 pattern. 90 + % of the total miles are highway miles. Proper air pressure always maintained along with no alignment issues. Tires wearing evenly across the entire tread width.......Now have 71,050 miles on the truck. and a total of 31,809 miles of these Michelins. One of the tires has a center tread depth of 5/32 remaining while the other three have 6/32nds of remaining tread. Surely not going to come close to the 70K mile expected tread life for this tire. Might get 50K to 55K miles.......From other review blogs I have read, pre-mature tread life seems to be a common complaint for this particular Michelin tire, while a very few do get their nearly 70K and over 70K miles.....This means that the rubber compounds mixed during manufacture are not consistently durable enough. More durable compound mixture is needed.....C'mon Michelin. You can do better......I do not want to go with another tire brand.

Awesome all season traction. These replaced my worn out AT2 tires that I also liked. When the new defenders were installed, I noted an average 28 to 32 km gain per tank of fuel for my truck. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend them for any light duty pickup truck owner
