The only thing wrong is the mushrooms weren’t consistent in size. Most were too large to serve as an appetizer. The flavor and freshness was excellent. Purchase these for an appetizer and ended up going to the grocery store to have the amount of correct sized mushrooms to serve.

The request for this review came as my wife was cooking up yet another batch of these tasty Baby Bellas We have them very often, and they always please, however we prepare them, and with whatever they're served. Today it's with pork chops; tomorrow it may be spaghetti sauce. Always a treat, there's rarely a visit to the club which doesn't include our bringing home another package.

So, I bought these with great plans of what I was going to do with them! A few weeks later, I found them kicked to the back at the bottom of the refrigerator ... and they were still good! I rinsed them, chopped them up really thick, and sautéed them with butter ... MMM! (That's how my family eats them ... unless Grandpa was around ... he hated the smell of mushrooms cooking.) They also freeze well after being cooked, in the unlikely event that you have extras.

Lately these have been coming in wet inside the package. What that means is they get moldy pretty quickly, if they aren't already moldy on the stems when you open them. The packager should make sure that they are dry before adding the plastic wrap to the container so this doesn't happen.

Slimy and stinky. For those of us that have to rely on grocery Pick Up we know its 50/50. Some where between 20% and 50% of what you get in the way of fresh produce is slimy rotten trash. The pickers mostly just grab the first closest produce. I have a file of photos of some pretty shocking fruit and veggies.

I love these mushrooms stuffed with sausage and cheese or with just about any stuffing. Or, for a yummy soup. These mushroom are gourmet quality, consistent size and just wonderful. Just remember if you aren’t going to use them quickly, to transfer them to a paper bag to keep them fresh longer.
