Bring back the original product

I don't know why Jimmy Dean changed from the original recipe pre-cooked sausage pattie. It had a better taste and texture from this new recipe!!! The new patties have limited taste and are NOT very good. Your company should recognize common sense in consumer awareness and loyalty for a product. I would like for you to bring back the original version of this product and remain a leader in this category!! Please value the consumers opinion!!

Best fully cooked sausage on the market!

This is my favorite sausage out there. I love the way it's perfectly cooked each time straight out of the microwave! I love the way it breaks under the fork, the texture, and the flavor is exactly why y'all are so freaking good! Keep up the great work!

Inconsistant flavor: quality control or problem?

I have Jimmy Dean or Johnsonville sausages everyday for breakfast. Jimmy Dean usually tastes a bit better (spicier) BUT, the flavor is inconsistent and causes me to wonder if they are "bad" or if it's due to weak quality control. This does NOT happen with Johnsonville.

Taste & size

Well, bought this because Sam's didn't have the other brand we always buy. Not really that good. Because they are small patties, they put 2 in the little serving bag. The taste is like a sage meat flavor, a bit rubbery. Wish Sam's would replace this one! Don't get this one, or any jimmy dean at all.

Good Idea....bad execution!

The texture of these sausages are mushy and the flavor is not the same as cooking them yourself. You still have to brown them in a pan, so what is the advantage other than saving a few minutes cooking time. Sorry I bought several boxes of these, if they were not a perishable item I would definitely return them.

Great!!! sure wish we could buy it now

This sausage works great for large group breakfasts. We used to buy 6 packages about once a month until it was made "not available". We use them grilled separately or in egg omelettes They are a hit and most folks come back for more. Sure wish we could still buy it!

Why did you change a good thing

I've bought these for a long time, were easy to fix for my husbands breakfast to go . Was disappointed with the last few boxes we bought, texture was way off and did not have same feel in my mouth the flavor is also not the same tastes kind of l smokey or something. Anyway please go back the way they used to be. Don't really like those flat hard sausage patties.

Not all fully-cooked patties the same

First off, I LOVE the pre-cooked turkey sausages... firm, uniform, great flavor, not greasy and 2 links are about 80 calories, I think 2 of the patties are about 120. Now, about the "original" patties. I bough a bag of them because I like to have them at work. The package said "made from pork and turkey". Man, these things are terrible. Not at all the quality of the turkey sausages. Thes ecome out in a pool of grease, are flabby, and small. Totally disappointed. Stick with the Turkey sausages if you don't ewant greasy wet hockey pucks.

What happened??????

Long time customer. I find it hard to believe the change to the sausage was due to customer requests as stated in the description, and was probably due to cost concerns.. Clearly you have made a decision to chose profit over quality, and we customers are NOT happy with the change. The patties are rubbery and lack any flavor, unlike the previous patties that had a lot of flavor and had a proper sausage texture. Needless to say, I will no longer purchase Jimmy Dean Sausages. Such a disappointment.

Good, but Nutritionally Bad

Many people have complained of late about supposed changes in this product. Not being a long-time consumer of these patties, I can't comment on any differences from the past. Actually, I find them quite tasty. However, the fat content is through the roof: Eat two of these small discs and you've consumed almost 40% of your recommended daily fat allowance. Probably a lot of that good taste comes from the surplus of fat, but it ought to be toned down nonetheless. This is a very tempting yet ultimately unhealthy food choice -- that's why I'm grading down on "quality," which I'm equating with nutritional value.
