[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent serum to cover a lot of bases if you're new to actives. It is definitely exfoliating though! I would suggest easing into it and starting slowly, NOT using AM and PM off the bat. I took a little break from my Tretinoin to test it, but still experienced some peeling. (My photo is end-of-day with makeup. You can see the flaking around my chin.) So, if you are using any other actives or exfoliants, you may experience peeling. I passed this along to someone I know enjoys gentle acids and doesn't use them often. I could see this being ideal for acne-prone skin with scarring or pigmentation issues, die to the AHA and Niacinamide combo. The iridescent look of the product itself isn't shiny on the skin. MAKE SURE TO PAIR THIS WITH A DAILY SPF of 30 or more.
