Crossclimate2 Tires - second set

The tires ride and handle well. Driving conditions are primarily in warm weather so traction is not an issue. One critique is the tires tend to flake, leading mechanics to recommend replacement earlier than expected. Wear on the tires was pretty even and they lasted close to the 60,000 miles expected. Except for the flaking, I'd give the tires a 5 star rating.

So far so good

I had a new set of 4 of the CrossClimate 2 installed on my 2013 Toyota RAV4 a week ago. These tires have been working pretty good so far - quiet, comfortable and with good handling in the hot summer. I may give a more detailed review later after running in different weather conditions.

Awful choice.

First off I'm a huge Michelin fan until now. Everyone raved about these so I plopped down a weeks take home and had them installed on my rogue. Huge mistake! I had primacy's and absolutely loved them but these are horrendous. They ride like they're filled with concrete, dropped highway mpg from 31 to 27 and produce a noticeable hum. To make matters worse, the vibrate @80 mph and all the balancing and alignment checks in the world can't get rid of it. I bought an extra set of factory rims and had a competitors tire installed, which was almost 59% less and the vibration is gone. Bad tires! They do wear like iron is the only good thing I can say. I use these now for a winter tire and hope we don't get snow so I don't have to swap wheels out. So disappointed in what I spent for such a gimmicky tire.

BEST ALL WEATHER TIRE!!!

I researched and being a Michelin user already, was pleased to find they are the best in class tires. They are very impressive in snow, handle great on dry, and amazing on wet (I tried hard to make them slide on corners and curves. Not happening! My only slight complaint is that they spin occasionally on take off. I have recommended Cross Climates to everyone who asks about tires, and our vehicles will always have nothing but these amazing tires! Almost three years and no regrets!

Quiet and plush ride

Just had them installed yesterday. I had forgotten how much of a difference new tires make. These CrossClimate2 tires are very quiet and have greatly improved the ride of our 2022 Grand Cherokee. Anxious to see how they perform this winter in the snow.

You can't go wrong with these.

I have used these tires for years. Tire wear is slow, if you maintain proper air pressure. Traction is great in the snow, rain, cornering at speed and when riding on lined pavement (the tire design eliminates vehicle wobbling because of the cross design). I have the tires on our BMW, Mercedes and VW.

Noisy and feel small bumps a lot

I did not choose these CC2 tires for my new to me 2011 Volvo S60 T6 AWD. I found them noisy on smooth roads. On paved country roads that are not the best of surfaces you can feel and hear most small bumps. They transfer the noise and feel of road irregularities into the Vehicle cabin. We have purchased many sets of Michelins tires throughout my 60 years of driving. I'm 75 now. We buy Volvos and Mercedes and often have 4 to 5 cars licensed and insured ready to go. These CC2 are very new less than 5000km. I might switch them to another of our cars or hope they wear out soon. In the plus side they have good traction when cornering a bit aggressively. I guess I'll have to wait until it rains to check out their wet characteristics.

I had to go back to the deal a few times because my tire gauge light kept on coming on and they told me it was brand new tires like go well there's something wrong with it because my tire gauge light should not be coming on every day so finally they decided to take the tires apart. They found a low leak by the stem and they fixed it but it waste a lot of time for me to go back-and-forth.

harsh, stiff ride

I just purchased these tires for use on my Accord. Online information described them as all season Touring tires with good comfort and good handling. I voiced my concern that they might have a rough ride, but two sales people agreed with the online description and assured me that the ride was smooth. I can't speak to the handling, but the ride is definitely stiff and harsher than I would expect from a Touring tire. In my area, roads have lots of cracks. The tires I replaced were 10 years old and original to the Accord. I feel the cracks and other road imperfections much more than I did with my old tires. The quality of the ride is better suited to an SUV or Crossover than a nice sedan.

Versatility is important to me!

I think that this is a great tire! I replaced my Michelin Defenders with the Cross Climate 2. The traction seems much better and I haven't noticed a significant interior noise increase from them in comparison. At first, based on some reviews, I had some concerns. Also, no matter the tread left on older tires, I consider the age of a tire to be very important to me. Nearing six years, I will replace older tires. The comfort of these tires is perfectly fine. And, living in Minnesota, the versatility is important to me. A disabled veteran.
