New mower. Great mower

Received mower day after cutting the grass and have been in near drought conditions since. While checking out the mower, I realized the features were better than most other mowers I looked at before deciding on Worx. Another deciding factor was the fact I own numerous 20v Worx items. Being able to use the same batteries in drill, trimmer and mower is a big plus.

Worx Nitro 40 V Lawn Mower

I have several of the worx products and am very happy with them all. I was excited to get the 21 inch Mower. I have a thick yard and it is approximately 10,000 square feet. This mower is quality built however it did not turn enough RPM's for a good quality cut. I sharpened the blade with a file for a sharp edge but still same result. The batteries with the product were 20 Volt 5.0 they did not supply enough run time to mow my yard. So iI purchased 2- 20 volt 6.0 batteries, they lasted 42 minutes, the 5.0 lasted 20 minutes and had to use some other batteries from other product to finish the yard. Nice quality built product just does not give gas like performance not enough RPM's. Batteries did not last long enough to complete my yard. I returned the product and the extra batteries, it was easy and efficient the return labels were provided and money was returned to my accounts in just a few days. I would recommend this product for someone with a smaller yard and grass not to thick

Nitro mower

I just bought this mower and used it for the first time. My grass was so high I thought I would not have enough battery power to do the yard one time. Well to my surprise the batteries last for me to complete the job. Great job! Had all the power I needed to get the job done. If you are looking for a mower that is a real work hose this is the one.So much easier and lighter to use the a gas mower.

Battery life is very poor.

I was very excited about this mower, but the battery life is inadequate to do even a small yard. The yard was a little long, but not more than probably 4” or 5” high. The batteries only lasted 23 minutes the first time, then I had to recharge them, which took 3 hours. The second time, the batteries only lasted 20 minutes. Long story short, it took two days to mow my front and back yard due to battery charge time. If you can mow your yard every 4 or 5 days and are okay with having the deck as high as it will go, it would probably work great. If you have thick grass or a larger sized yard, look elsewhere… unless you are okay with it taking 2 days to mow your yard.

Not bad, not great, somewhere in the middle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose a Worx mower since my old 20 year gas push died and I have other 20V Worx tools in my shed. I would divide this mower into pros and cons based on my mixed grass, slightly bigger than 1/4 acre size yard. PROS: -Light to push -Simple Operation to start, just insert batteries, push a button, pull back bail and go -Good variable speed range on self-propel mode -Simple change from mulch to side discharge (I don't bag) by flipping a lever -Ramps up motor speed for thicker grass. -5 year warranty on mower CONS: -Battery life/cutting range. This depends on your yard, terrain, how much you need to use self-propel (which cuts down battery life). I would way an average of 20 minutes for two 40V 5.0amp batteries. I need four batteries for my yard. I would say unless you live on a postage stamp size city lot you will need additional batteries unless you want to take a 3 hr break to charge. -Handle bar adjustment/angles of levers. The handle bar has two height positions. One is very low, the other very high for me. What I don't like is the angled handle bar holding on to two bails--it seems awkward for me and is the biggest negative. I would rather just have a straight handle bar on a mower. The two plastic flaps which release the handle mechanism to fold are jinky and will probably be the first thing to break. I would advise finding your comfortable height and leave it alone. - A LOT of plastic. The steel deck looks well made and durable but almost everything else on this mower is plastic which concerns me about longevity. There is also the plastic front wheel piece which means to get an up close cut to something has to be done sideways and not head on. It just seems to me that anything plastic will not hold up over years of use. Overall, if you're in the Worx ecosystem to start and since the batteries are interchangeable it makes this mower a lot more attractive. Also the 5 year warranty is also a plus.

Excellent Equipment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a week ago and use it to cut my 1/4 acre property and the 5.0aH batteries lasted about an hour. Cuts like a gas powered unit but much lighter. Great features like the LED, one lever height adjustment for the cut and multiple cut settings. I had mine on mulch and the power did not diminish. The folding feature is also amazing. A great space saving feature. Love it.

Surpassing My Expectations...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had purchased this about a month ago and was very surprised that I had not done so before then. When I first eyed this mower and reviewed its features, I was intrigued. It first was paired with two 4Ah batteries and a standard 5-hour charger. Then Worx surprised me by lowering the price a little, not much, but they changed the upgraded batteries to two 5Ah batteries and upgrading to a 1-hour charger. If they had not changed the charger, I would have been buying one separately. I considered it a win-win for me. Since I have been looking at it and comparing it with other brands, the most important reason I kept coming back to it was the Power Share feature. It was totally awesome to mow the grass and since the batteries were only down to 40% remaining charge, I would grab it and use it on my hedge trimmer and my Axis saw. No more using gas, or better yet finding out that I am out of gas in the can and needing more. I can hear family and friends when they call out to me due to lower noise. While I was cutting the grass I had forgotten about the Auto-IntelliCut™ and when it sped up to cut thicker grass, I thought something was wrong. It did not slow down or choke off and die like gas mowers. I probably will not use the LED light much. The grass catcher does not drag behind like others that I have had and appears to be very well constructed. Adjusting for the grass height was a little hard to picture until I did it, it is another awesome feature. I totally enjoy cutting the grass and look forward to it. The only feature I could think to add is some place to hold my water/drink bottle. I have passed my experience with it and all my other Worx Power Share tools to my family, friends and people I encounter at work.

Powerful motor. Solid steel deck!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this mower for about a month and a half and have cut my lawn multiple times with it. I have a small city lot and it takes me about an hour to cut. I have been able to cut it twice on a single charge and it does a great job. The height adjustment lever is a stroke of genius, as is the lever to switch from bagging to mulching. It is a pretty heavy mower, and requires all four batteries be inserted to use it. As with most electric mowers, this one is pretty quiet when compared to a gas mower.

Worx Nitro 40V 21" Self-Propelled Lawn Mower

Ordering is EASY!, Shipping to my door was very fast, Mower arrived in great condition and was already assembled in the box. Just take out and unfold handle to mowing position. The mower is so easy to push with its comfortable 3 position handle that I find I don't even need self propel mode. The run time is excellent on the supplied 5AH batteries. The quick charger is just that, very quick to recharge. Some of the features I like most are how you raise and lower the deck with one push of a button on a handle. Another most valuable feature is the lever to switch from mulching to vacuuming up into the included bag. And the hard bottom of the bag is another nice feature. The best feature I have found is when I go up the front slope in the front of the property. The variable speed drive. Awesome! The little lever can be used like a gas pedal to speed up or down while mowing. I don't know why I waited so long to get a cordless mower. This mower is so well thought out, well balanced and just absolutely a pleasure to mow again. If you have a 1/3 acre or less, and don't want a riding mower, then this is your mower. It somehow just glides through the yard. Also love the intelligent motor controller too. High grass, it speeds up. Short grass, it slows itself down to save battery. Highly recommend this mower.

Best Lawn Mower with Lower Cost Batteries

I have been using another brand battery powered lawn mower for 18 years. No gasoline, oil, spark plug, or filter needed. The only problem was that my mower was not self-propelled. I recently bought the Worx WG753 40-volt self-propelled lawn mower and it works great. If you want to go from "when do I have to cut the lawn" to "when can I cut the lawn again", this is the mower for you! It is also nice to be able to use one of the lawn mower batteries in my Worx blower to blow the mower clean after each use. After my research, the lower cost Worx batteries was one of the reasons that I bought this lawn mower. No regrets!
