Love it, but need better way to trigger selfpropel

I think it cuts great and has a lot of power for the hills on my lawn and battery life is great. However it does have what I consider a design flaw that is annoying. The self propel engagement should NOT be a bar. I tend to stall when turning around because i need to slow down and while I turn, I tend to let up just enough on the black bar that engages the motor that I stall. if it had a different way like my gas mower to engage, it would be perfect. It could also use a lower cutting level. I put it on the lowest, and usually I am one or two above on my previous mower. I love the quality of the product.

Not a good product like the other Worx tools I own

I was disappointed with the lawnmower for several reasons: 1.) The charge only last 40 minutes and half of this time I was not using self-propel. 2.) When using self-propel, the wheel would stay engaged until I manually pushed it forward a few inches so that I could pull the mower backwards. 3.) It did not cut the grass all that cleanly and my lawn is not thick. 4.) The bale for the self-propel rubbed the underside of my arms when I was manually pushing the mower. 5.) The latches on each side of the handle to engage it, stick out and catch limbs and bushes as you are mowing close to them. The other Worx tools I have are great, just not the mower.

Good electric mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a month ago. Have mowed the lawn twice with it. Need to buy extra batteries because I've got a little bit bigger yard but works great I love it powering up when it goes through thicker grass. Just wish it cut a little shorter.

So easy to use and an amazing technology!

Just wow! The Nitro mower...what a blessing! With last child off to college, it means that I now have to mow the yard. The current gas powered mower was a battle to get through the tall St. Augustine grass in Florida. Not the WORX Nitro, it took less than 20 minutes to cut the yard and it literally pulled me around the yard. I mowed 1/4 acre lot on half a battery charge too. I would recommend this product to even the landscape professionals. I will not fret mowing the yard any more! Thank You!

Powerful mower-battery life lacking

Second time using tonight. Mower is powerful and easy to adjust cutting height. First time I used the bag- 1st mow of the season. Ran out of battery power before front was finished. Had to charge overnight and finish the next night. Today We weren't bagging and the same issue. Not enough battery life to cut even the front. Guess I'll need to order two more 40 volt batteries to be able to complete the job in one day. Disappointing.

Hello Valued Customer! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review! We greatly appreciate your honest feedback as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve. Runtimes can vary depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to grass texture and consistency, cutting height, and lawn size. For added runtime, we recommend purchasing an additional pair of high capacity batteries, such as the 4.0Ah, 6.0Ah, or 8.0Ah batteries. Thank you for choosing WORX tools.

All around well designed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mower cuts well, stays charged, is easy to clean, and easy to store. From built-in handles for lifting to a one touch mower height adjustment, this mower is great. The removable battery pack makes charging easy. And the batteries can be used in other Worx tools.

More than I expected

Metal in all the right places, solid design and construction. The self-propelled power is very much so, no slouch there. The smart cutting speed saves a lot of battery power, I run it on the lowest speed. At 6'6" the highest setting for the handle is very comfortable. The only issue I had was with the left drive wheel binding up; extra shims had been installed, the snap ring broke and got in the gearing, replaced the snap ring and it's right as rain.

Good features and quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mulching feature / gate eliminates a mulching plug. Have used the mower twice so far and pleased with it. Self propelled system has good pulling power. Biggest problem is design of handle settings, hard to find a comfortable setting. From lowest (too low) to highest angle which only someone about 6' 6” to 7 ft tall could use.

Price with Batteries not worth it

I bought this mower thinking I would get more capabilities and battery life, but the batteries don't even compare to my old Worx mower. Now I can't even finish my front and back yard. Forget about using the self-propel option, which uses even more battery. I have to pick two separate days to mow my lawn which is not convenient considering I care for my dad at his house 5 days of the week.

Way better than the cheaper model

Hard to turn, larger than I anticipated. But it's wider and it's way faster to mow the lawn. If I had the chance to choose again, I might still pick it because of the speed and power, but I also might get the option that is one step down. Also the battery charger is inside of the mower where the batteries sit. You take it out and charge it that way.
