Sams is not an authorized retailer of Drunk Elephant, however, Sams is reputable and is not going to sell fake products. The reason this is such a good deal (nearly half off) is because the product was manufactured a while ago. You can check your batch number via online databases. The product I ordered was made 2 years ago, however, this product is good for 3 years. If you have an odd texture or color, Sams has a great return policy. I say take the chance, it's a great deal for an amazing product!

Completely different color, consistency, and smell compared to the same serum I buy directly from the brand.

This product was gloopy, sticky, and tinged yellow. It is not the standard drunk elephant serum.
