I received a free Sonicare 6100 for review. The product came already assembled. I like the compact charger. It takes up mminimal space. It also comes with a very nice travel case and room for extra toothbrush head. It has multiple features such as 3 modes and different options from whitening and gum care. Overall I loved this toothbrush. It gives you a kind of clean you can not get from a regular toothbrush and would recommend to others.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I would give the Philips ProtectiveClean 6100 Sonicare 5 stars. I have been using Sonicare and years and this model works as well as previous versions but has a couple of new features that I really like. I found the design of the Sonicare to be sleek and easy to use. I appreciate the three modes that you can easily switch between `clean`, `white` and `gum care`. I think it will take at least a month to see if there is a difference in each of these modes but it`s nice to be able to choose. I mostly used the white mode and felt that worked very well for me. I also like that the brush head is very easy to attach and remove. This allows you to clean the bottom of the brush head. This design is much improved from previous versions that would allow lots of `gunk` to build up on the inside of the brush head which was difficult to clean. My favorite feature of this toothbrush is the Brush head replacement reminder. This smart brush heads use a microchip to synch with the handle and will alert you with a light on the handle when it`s time to replace the brush head. I really appreciate this feature because I never remember when to it`s time to change this brush head. Another very useful feature is the battery light that indicates the status of the battery life. There are four different colors/beeps that tell you if the toothbrush if fully charged or has no brushing sessions left and needs to be charged. Overall I`m very happy with this toothbrush and feel like the new features are a definite improvement. I would highly recommend this toothbrush for ease of use and helpful features.

Haven't tried this yet but was I immediately disappointed that it didn't come with a travel case. It shows a case in the pic with the brush. There was a space in the box where I thought the case should be. Yet, no case. Sure wish my crystal ball wasn't in the shop. I might have seen this coming.

This is my third Sonicare toothbrush purchased over the last 10 years. They have all performed well and lasted a reasonably long time. I find the replacement brushes much too expensive and have resorted to generic brush heads for the last several years. This new model follows this path as it uses heads with embedded chips to monitor the life of the head. They are exorbitantly too expensive for my budget so I doubt that I will ever buy them. I do like the choices I have for brushing and I also like the warning I get if I am brushing too hard. My dentist likes the results of my using this system also.

This is a great tooth brush and cleans wonderfully but let me tell you about the battery life on this thing! When I first opened it, I put it on the charger for about 24 hours before using. Now I only have to charge it once a year!!! Pretty incredible!

I love the fresh clean feeling after brushing with the 6100. But I am disappointed that it already needs to be replaced / serviced at two months of having it. I also had to change the the toothbrush brush head (I purchased the C3 heads and used one of those first). When I put on the toothbrush head that came with my 6100 it didn’t fit on the metal shaft. It was very loose and would fall off. The brush was also louder than usual and it sounds like a rattle / something is loose in the unit. I contact customer support to get help with my issue and they were quick and efficient to help me out. Now I’m just waiting on my replacement handle.

I always had electric toothbrushes from Philips. Last one I bought lasted me 4 years. This one I bought, after one day, the middle silver part starting peeling .. where the did quality go? Or did I get a defected one. So upset about this. For the money you pay, this shouldn’t have happened

I also think another thing this product does well is provide high autonomy without being over complex. The settings are more than enough while also not being way too complex or confusing.

What happened to $2 toothbrushes? Now they cost over $100 (plus about $40 per year for brush heads)! Well, my dentist says I need it and now that I have (nearly) all crowns (fake teeth) in my mouth, I guess he's right. :-( Anyway, this thing has a chip in the brush head so I sure hope nobody hacks my toothbrush! They might turn it into a chain saw (ouch). Well this thing vibrates so much it feels like a chain saw, but I guess it's getting rid of all that plaque and calculus stuff. One thing I can say is that my gums are improving, so I guess that's a good thing. :-)

Overall it was easy to use and having the three brushing modes is ideal for me because It gave me the option to brush for a longer or shorter time. I felt my overall gum health was better after only a week of use. My favorite feature is the easy start feature which over time increases the power to help your teeth and gums get used to using a electric toothbrush. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an easy to use high quality electric toothbrush.
