Stopped working after two years, TWICE

My first protective clean toothbrush stopped working after just over two years. Philips provided a replacement handle to me. The replacement handle has now stopped working just over two years again. The toothbrush is good when it works but the longevity is extremely poor.

This is my third or so sonicare. The brush is terrific and allows you to clean your teeth well without damaging your gums. My only complaint is that the brush/battery stops working around the 4 to 5 year mark and you are forced to buy a new brush. Even with 6 month extended warranty offering (if you register your product on line), the max warranty is 2.5 years. This time around, sonicare did offer me 2 free brush heads if I bought a new tooth brush. For me, you have to get a brush with 3 or so settings as I need gum care (a more gentle) setting. This new brush seems great

Great Product until warranty ends

the Sonic toothbrush does a great job of cleaning and maintaining teeth, especially when you don’t have the dexterity to use a regular brush. Unfortunately, we continue to replace them with 1, 2, and 2.5 years, just after warranty expires. They just don’t last as long as you would expect for such an expensive toothbrush.

Very disappointed.

I have bought Philips' products for years but am frankly disappointed in your toothbrushes. One would think, for the prices charged in Canada, that they would be durable. In fact they are not. The first Diamond model that we purchased lasted barely two years when the battery failed. It was only used by my wife and myself. The battery cannot be replaced, rendering it useless. Our current model will not hold a charge, sometimes cutting out in mid-brushing. Otherwise the performance is what we expected, brushing well and offering variable controls. But we will not be buying another until we are assured that these quality shortcomings have been resolved.

I missed my Philips Sonicare Toothbrush

My previous Sonicare toothbrush no longer charged anymore. I used a conventional toothbrush instead for awhile. There is just no comparison! I missed the gum cleaning feature and could hardly wait to have it back! I highly recommend this toothbrush, as I thoroughly enjoy this brush much better for my dental care needs.

I like how it has great features like gum care which I normally use at night because it runs for 3 minutes. The "clean" feature runs for 2 minutes which is what I use every morning. I use the number 2 intensity instead of 3 because I feel like 3 is too intense for my gums. I haven't tried switching to a different brush head yet but I'm pretty satisfied with the W2 brush head.
