One of my favorite highlighters is the Sharpie Smear Guard . They are great for highlighting, writing and drawing. I personally use them and recommend them.

This brand was the only brand I used when I went through nursing school! My notes NEVER smudged when using them! These are VERY affordable for anyone on a tight budget! The colors are very vibrant!
