Picked up this Ecobee Premium Plus bundle hoping to be able to have a more efficient home. I have used similar, but different thermostats in the past, with no problem. This model was not the same. The one feature I was looking for, humidity control with "over-cool" was not present on this device. (The Results of online research prior to purchase were not readily apparent that this one doesn't have that feature). Also, after proper hook up and installation, I wasn't satisfied with the way the thermostat controlled my system. Learning curve to set up program was not too bad, but manual over-rides to set temp as I choose outside of the program were not easy or effective, with my HVAC system not operating to cool even on a hot 95 degree day. There may be a million things this particular thermostat can do, but being a simple, make my house cool now... does not seem to be one of them. When the system did operate, it seemed like it would not cool the home effectively compared to a traditional thermostat. This is not the device for me, so will be bringing back to the store for return.

Love this thermostat. With the sensors we set it up to set the temp for the room we are in, Living room and bedroom not the hallway at the front of the house.where the thermostat is. Only problem was when the sensor was knocked off the headboard into the bed it was next to me under the covers and the AC came on and tried to cool it down. That was my fault! This thing works and has cut our AC bill down and made the house comfortable when and where we want it. We have zones by sensor and times morning, night Bedtime etc lots of options

I bought this last week and installed today after it arrived. The display is okay, but nothing that great. It smudges very easily. The unit itself seems good quality. The sensors though are cheaply made and flimsy. They connect and disconnect in and out. I tried calling their customer support but didn’t get an answer and then they were too busy. Based on this experience not sure why anybody would buy from this brand. Look elsewhere.
