We had the manpower. Everyone watched the 'helpful hints' videos on line. We had all of the cedar components built in a couple of hours. No issues. Until we started to installing the aluminum roof panels. Dead stop. It took us 4 hours to peel the plastic film off. A ridiculous amount of time. Yardistry will respond that the plastic film is there to protect the panels. My response: Find a better way. The ridge caps, roof ridge track sections and roof trim sections all peeled easily. The panels, not so much. It was like a kind of torture! Lol. Also, look for parts inside the main posts, they're hollow and we had some inventory hidden in there. A solid product, well packaged, well designed. Could have done without the plastic film drama.

FYI the Yardistry gazebo is considered by building departments to be a 'structure' and is subject to their review. Yardistry REFUSES to provide structural calculations or a third party certification of the structural integrity of the gazebo (so is it safe in the first place??). To send their drawings to an engineer will double the price to install! If I had it to do over, I would just have a contractor just build a custom gazebo....

After allot of researching different products and companies I purchased the Meridian Gazebo. It took 2 full days to assemble. Wood quality and pre-drilled hole alignment was excellent overall, I only had to re-drill 3 holes as they were only slightly off. The roof assembly was the most challenging. I'd suggest to lay all the roof panels on the wood before screwing anything down. I also used a clamp and wood to help bring the roof panels close enough to begin joining them. Overall, it goes together well and the end product was worth the cost and effort.

We set up our gazebo on our patio in the backyard. Provides perfect shade and shelter for barbecuing in the rain. Solidly built and aesthetically appealing as well. Hollow posts allowed us to easily run wiring for twinkle lights, providing a great atmosphere at night. Yardistry customer service also amazing. We had a piece crsck about a month after install and they were so helpful and replaced it very quickly.

I live in a neighborhood with an HOA and we needed approval to build this gazebo and were denied since it has an aluminum/metal roof and they require the gazebo to have shingles for the roof material. Is this an option for me to buy the material separately from a 3rd party and just discard the aluminum/metal roof material and use different material to put shingles on the roof instead?

I would give this gazebo a perfect 10 except for one big issue I have: after getting it up, the next day my hands broke out in blisters and fingers swollen - seems that I am allergic to the plastic covering of the roofing metal pieces. There is lots of plastic to be removed by hand. If you are allergic to latex get someone else to remove the covering!!!!!!!!!!!! We were 4 seniors who put this up: one in his 60s, 2 in our 70s and on in his 80s. Took us 3 hot, sunny afternoons and lots of water breaks. I did some sub-assemblies in the garage out of the sun but the strong essence of the cedar started making me woozy. With garage door fully open letting in warm but fresh air all was soon fine. We had one issue with following the directions: We had the outside roof triangle assembly upside down. Realized this when we came to attach the metal roof pieces. Fortunately, taking the piece off and reattaching it was minor. Later on the third day of assembly we had a BBQ for the 4 assemblers and wives. Looks great in our backyard on a 10 x 10 wooden deck/platform about 7 feet from the house. Plan to purchase a few cedar planks and attach to one end to serve as a windbreak and privacy screen. It would be about shoulder height down to knee level. Maybe a metal decorative panel(s) on a second side. Maybe a lattice on the third side to have plants growing up. Fourth side open to enter and exit. A few minor aches and pains suffered by the senior 4; however, it didn't stop the others from playing golf the next day or two later.

I received delivery on 6/5 and immediately sorted out the many pieces to ensure complete set. Noticed that #729 Corner LT was cracked. Later when assembling one of the roof panels the end of fascia beam had a chunk fall out when securing it to a Corner RT. I had drill set to lowest torque so I know that it was not from too much force. This is the only piece that fell apart after screwing in what seemed to be a thousand screws. Wish that these two items didn't occur because it seems like it might be a nice gazebo. Also, as another reviewer noted, some to the precut pieces could be a little more precise and some of the longer lengths of wood had a bend in them. I might have to fabricate replacement pieces of wood since I can't wait another 3-4 weeks for replacement parts.

I just bought and built the 20 x12 gazebo and it's great. Quick delivery, good quality and good instructions. Better quality than I expected for the price. 1 set of pieces was missing but Yardistry sent the parts right away. Very satisfied. Tip for building...follow instructions carefully and have enough time/ manpower to complete to keep it fun.

I have to say that my Yardistry Meridian Gazebo has exceeded all of my expectations. It is a quality product that was not too difficult to assemble and is very beautiful. It’s substantial, sturdy & in my opinion a thoughtful & strong design. Paired with our Yardistry mosquito netting is a beautiful addition to our outdoor living area.

We purchased our 12 x 12 gazebo this past spring and had it erected in two days. The idea was to give us year round use of our spa, which living in Oregon, can be a real test with cool, rainy winter evenings and hot sunny summer days. This Yardistry building went together well, according to the plans, and looks just beautiful, adding a lot to the looks of our small back yard. We couldn't have asked for any more to accomplish our goals of getting a useful, yet beautiful and durable shelter for our spa. By adding outdoor curtains, we can close it up during inclement weather or open it up to gorgeous spring & summer days. We love our Yardistry structure. It's one of the best investments we've made!
