Always rolled on Michelins and have replaced them 3 times in 120,000 miles and they were always so loud. Went with these on this go around and WOW what a difference. So quiet, fantastic. I didn't know that tires could make an impact on fuel efficiency but normally where I go through a tank of gas per week, after putting these tires on my fuel use went down about 30pct which is a big deal especially with gas $4.5 per gallon.

I have driven the 8 hour trip from Ohio to South Carolina countless times and these tires are quite and smooth. I have had excellent control at high speeds through deep puddles (they aren't prone to hydroplaning), I have driven on muddy gravel hunting roads in the mountains of North Carolina and never had traction issues, I have gotten through up to a foot of snow with no issues, and never gotten stuck as long as I have had them. Overall I think they are a great tire if you want to have street tires that can get you through some occasional off road use. The only reason I rate the traction with four stars is because they aren't an all terrain tire and occasionally they slip on wet pavement in you try to accelerate quickly from a stop.

My first set of Destination tires had about 50k miles before I replaced them. They still had tread but were over 7 years old. My 02 explorer is a seasonal drive only so age of tire was starting to show. I just purchased my 2nd set of Destinations and couldn't be more pleased. Excessive road noise on my old Destinations grew louder with age. The new tires are so quite, my 20 year old explorer rides like new. The handling is precise and the vehicle tracks straight where I steer it. I could have purchased any tire but I'm glad I went with the new Destination.

Assumed I was purchasing the newer LE3, but not a problem since I was satisfied with the original LE2's, which gave 52K miles of quiet, even wear. If I hadn't replaced a little early, I probably could have gotten 60K miles. Just double check when purchasing to receive the improved 70K mile LE3.

I spent a while looking at different tires before deciding these were the ones for my Explorer. I liked the tread pattern, the longer milage wear and price! As soon as I got in the road with the new tires I could tell a difference with the new tires. Nice smooth ride, no noise and great traction when it rains. I'm so happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend these tires!

I replaced original GMC tires that had a great ride around town and on the highway. And I got 23mpg when I kept speed at 70. But If the road was older or broken the ride was terrible and noise outrageous. Because we travel, I needed to correct this. The new Firestones are quiet everywhere, but have changed our ride. We feel the road much more. Although quiet we feel any imperfections. We had our tire shop balance them at 200 miles. That helped but our overall ride around town isn't as smooth as it was. I'm wondering if I should have gotten a wider tire? The long highway drive this winter should be better.

These tires are great for on highway use dry and wet conditions. Snow conditions not well, difficulty steering in corners and requires 4 wheel drive often. Off highway (gravel road) performance not well - easily punctured. Have had to repair tires 3 times in 15k miles use. Originally we purchased these when we lived in the city, however moved to rural home later. These tires are better suited for in town driving where they excel, very quiet and comfortable ride. But if you enjoy the occasional drive on gravel or mud, these will be ok. If you live on gravel or use off road heavily, these are not for you. We would have purchased tires better fit for our area, like the Destination MT or XT series, which we have on a truck. No issues with the MTs.

I do not have an exceptional amount of miles on these tires yet, but I am very satisfied with them so far. You can only do so much with a 4WD truck in regard to noise and ride, but these tires are so much better than what I had on before. They ride very smooth for being on a truck. I plan on replacing the tires on my minivan with the same tires.

I just purchased these tires, so I really can't comment on durability. We've bought tires from our local tire shop for years, and the owner recommended them. He said he put them on his mother's car. I bought a set for my daughter, and now for my wife based solely on his recommendation. I normally buy Bridgestone tires.

The OEM tires (Firestone LE2) on my Ridgeline were at just below 4/32" and we were taking a 1,000 mile trip; I always change tires when the tread depth hits that measurement, so I stopped in at the Firestone company store in Dover Delaware. I am very particular about who mounts and balances tires on my vehicle, having seen the effects of improper tools and techniques. I was greeted by TJ who quickly and professionally put together a quote. I scheduled an appointment for three days from then and left. On the way back from Philly the day of the appointment there was a serious accident and a 45 minute delay. I called TJ to say I would not be able to make the appointment time and to reschedule; he asked me when I would be there and then said "we will get the tires installed,see you then!" Sure enough, I got there, dropped the truck off, went and had lunch, and then came back earlier than the 1 1/2 hours I assumed it would take--there was my truck with 4 new tires! We were able to get on our way in time! The LE3 tires are quieter than the LE2 tires they replaced, handle great in the dry and wet, and are quiet.
