Great watch.

Love the watch!

I’ve had my Forerunner 55 a few weeks and it’s been great for running and counting steps. I’m overall very pleased with it. The only negative is how often I have to charge it, even when I’m not using the GPS. It runs low enough that I’m charging it daily.

Useful for a Casual Fitness Enthusiast

I am a fan of the basic Forerunner watches. The features are great for someone who is maintaining a fitness routine and does not need the advanced features of the higher level watches. The 55 allows me to track runs, strength workouts, and even "breath work." Most importantly the battery life is good, though not as good as the 35. I charge the watch about once a week so far when using GPS and other tracking features almost daily.

Garmin - Forerunner

So far I have really enjoyed the Garmin - Forerunner 55. It gives great information on sleep, recovery, workouts - exactly what I need. I love that it gives immediate feedback as you are running about your pace, heartrate, VO2. The phone app has a lot of in depth analysis as well. Great affordable fitness smart watch.

I've owed this since for a while. It's the worst Garmin I've had. The battery can go a couple of days and then after then next charge it'll die within a day with the same usage rate. It takes forever to find a signal for a run and then if it times out it has to go thru the whole process again. I really loved my previous Garmin but gave it to my son when I got this one. It has been a massive disappointment. I may actually look at another brand next time around.

Great watch

Great for everyday use. This watch is user friendly and lightweight. As a cross country, track and nordic ski coach I use this all the time to help our athletes with pacing during training. This watch does not have ski mode, but the "other" function works well for tracking skiing.

Easy to use

I bought this watch to track my weekly runs and didn't realize the other features it had. I've also been using the watch to track my sleep cycles. Overall it has allowed me to better analyze my runs and motivates me to improve my speed. Both the watch and app are user friendly. I use the Apple Health app to combine both data from Apple watch and Garmin.

Love this watch! battery life is great lasts me about 2 weeks depending on how many runs I track. It tracks the basic information I'm looking at as a new runner and also makes it easier for me to pace and train. I would absolutely recommend this watch to any new runners out there taking the next steps to improving your pace and distance. I also like that Garmin links with the Nike Run app and Strava.

Quite a learning curve

I got my Forerunner 55 for Christmas. It is my first watch of any type in 15 years or so, and I’ve never had a sports watch. The downside for me has been the learning curve and understanding which button to push when. Now that I have (mostly) got those issues worked out I love the functions I have learned. I think there are a few other things it can do that I haven’t figured out yet, but I’m still working on it.

Durable, simple watch

I didn't want to pay for a fenix because I would be paying for features I wouldn't use. I'm not putting maps or using gps routes on my watch. I just wanted a watch to track my workouts, heart rates, sleep and steps. This does all that. It is a durable watch too. I was issued a Garmin Instinct and wore it for a long time. The strap on the Instinct would leave my wrist looking nasty (red, flaky skin). None of that with the band I got with this one. I bought one for my Mom and Dad! Great buy, worth every penny.

Great basic running and fitness watch

I brought this watch to replace an earlier Garmin Forerunner watch that functioned well, but lacked som additional nice to have features like stress measurement readings, respiration rate and consistent Vo2 metrics. User screens are simple to master after a few days of wear. It's a Great Value and fitness tool!
