Hello Jane, Thank you for sharing your experience with your purchase. While we do appreciate both positive and negative feedback, from time to time we need to address the problem on hand. This product, the MM EZift 100 10x10 canopy is a Sun Shelter and best used in stable weather conditions. We caution users by way of a single insert to use extreme caution in windy and inclement weather situations as it can cause damage to both the user and the canopy. A canopy, in windy weather becomes kite like in nature especially if it catches wind under the fabric. Beaches are notoriously GUSTY, and users need to be aware of this or they will find themselves in a similar situation as you did. So while we understand your disappointment in the product we appreciate the post, this will add an additional cautionary level to proper use of a canopy.

We place an insert into every package asking members to use extreme caution in inclement and windy weather. Beaches are windy, typically, and we do not recommend them for this type of use. However, if you still have the frame, please reach out Member Support at (888) 301-0332 and they can connect you with the manufacturer to obtain replacement parts.
