Awesome Fishing Tool

I was hesitant to purchased this item due to the fact that I was not sure I would use it enough. I absolutely love this item and go out with my son almost every weekend to fish. It is not heavy and I can take it almost everywhere to get those awesome fish

Loved fishing in this kayak!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I rented one of the Tamarack Anglers and loved it!! Took it up fishing in spirit lake in the Uintah's and had a lot of success!! It was comfortable to sit in, with the adjustable back rest and multiple feet positions. Really enjoyed the rod holders, and it was light enough that I could carry it!! First time kayak fisher, now hooked for life!!

fun little fishing craft

Overall this is a great little fishing craft. Mine came with three of the scupper holes not entirely drilled through - a thin piece of plastic was still in place, which I knocked out with a long handled screwdriver. The holes were all marked with a yellow marker indicating that the issue was recognized but not dealt with. The front carrying handle was just a round plastic plug with no handle, but when I contacted the company and told them mine was missing they sent a new plug and handle no questions asked.

Great starter kayak

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Tamarack 120 kayak as a father's day present. It was a great starter kayak or for someone looking for a stable platform for weekend paddling. With a weight of only 50lbs, it's easy to car top or even throw into the back of a van, truck or SUV . There is no cushion for the seat, but you can cut up an old yoga mat if you need it.

Great All Season Kayak

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this kayak as a birthday gift two years ago. It's been an awesome watercraft to fish out of anywhere from Mantua to Willard to Flaming Gorge. Comfort isn't any problem to me thanks to the padded, adjustable seat and molded foot holds. The rod holder in front is great for trolling . You'd be amazed by how shallow of water it can float in. Our park flooded and we were able to paddle around in only a few inches of water. I'd honestly rather fish out of the yak than a full sized boat. It is also just as great for duck hunting as it is for fishing. It's stable enough to shoot out of and stand up to cast but I've added outriggers for just a little bit more confidence. It holds all the gear I need for a day out on the lake or in the marsh. The Tamarack Angler is simple to add customizations to fit your needs and I've defiantly done a far share of that. This this is a great kayak for anyone from beggining and advanced yakers. P.S. Just a tip to use some form of scupper plugs at least in the holes by the seat or you'll get a wet bottom. Grocery Bags work great or you can by some directly from Lifetime. That is the only small probIem I've found in this kayak

Great Kayak for the money

I purchased my Tamarack in June 17'. Have been on the New River every weekend and several weekdays since. Not one issue with it. Several times we have had friends along that do not have Kayaks so I also bring along my canoe so we can share time between the kayaks and canoe. Everyone who has used this kayak has loved it. All novices and no issues with stability etc. I highly recommend giving this one a look!

great kayak

I have 2 of these. Bring these to the Lake every year. Have had for about 3 yrs. Only problems I have had, and not that I have had but people I loaned them to, the drain valve on the front come off during transport and was lost and the handles were ripped from the sides so had to figure out something else to use. Easy to empty when full of water. Have used these to pass off the Kayaking merit Badge

Love it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will say the Angler Kayak I have was sold to me gently used. My friend decided that after 3 uses he just wasn't built for kayak fishing. So I jumped at the chance to buy it from him!!! I love the kayak, it is perfect for my little fishing lake as a beginner kayaker. I added an anchor trolley line and love the ability to just sit and fish in one spot!! The kayak was missing the rod holder, so I contacted Lifetime and worked with Brenna to get a replacement. She is fantastic!!! The Angler is stable and easy to move thru the water, it sits perfectly in the water to fish from! I would buy this kayak again!!! In fact I might get one for the hubby!!!

Great kayak, even better value

I purchased this kayak to open up the fishing possibilities in ponds, lakes, and creeks nearby, and it has been almost perfect. Despite the price, the whole package feels very well put together. You can absolutely buy this kayak and take it straight out to the water and start paddling and fishing. The downside of the budget nature is that finishing isn't perfect. The edges around the plastic of the storage compartments and the rod holder are a bit sharp. The seat strap needs to be tightened frequently. The in-boat storage areas are not compartmentalized (they're open to the hull) and are not dry storage. You will want to replace the included paddle for anything but the lightest duty paddling. You'll want to add some storage like a crate. For fishing, you will probably want an anchor setup. A wheeled cart is incredibly useful for transport where you would otherwise be carrying or dragging the boat. But this boat will get you out there comfortably, and provides a good base from which to customize

Great Kayak and Great Service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really impressed with the value of this kayak. I have a few kayaks and canoes I take friends and family fishing with, and this one is always picked first. Very stable and easy to paddle with lots of room for gear. I really like the handles and move or load the boat solo with ease. Best of all I had an issue with a part (my fault) lifetime could not have been more helpful in helping me with a replacement. Thanks again !
