BEEN USING DEPENDS FOR 12 YEARS FOLLOWING SURGERY TO CORRECT A SIDE EFFECT OF BRACHYTHERAPY. THE NEW VERSION FELT THE SAME AS THE PRODUCT IT REPLACED. UNFORTUNATELY, MY EXPERIENCES HAVE NOT BEEN GOOD. I USUALLY BUY 4 TO 6 PACKAGES AT A TIME AND THE PREVIOUS PRODUCT LASTED ABOUT A MONTH FOR EACH PACKAGE. I DID NOT KNOW THE PRODUCT HAD BEEN 'IMPROVED' UNTIL I RAN LOW AND BOUGHT 5 MORE PACKAGES. HERE ARE MY PROBLEMS: I HAVE GONE THROUGH 2 PACKAGES IN 5 WEEKS, SIGNIFICANTLY MORE EXPENSIVE! I DO NOT BELIEVE MY LEAKAGE HAS INCREASED AT THE SAME TIME AS CHANGING PRODUCTS, BUT IF I COULD FIND THE OLD PRODUCT I WOULD SURELY TEST THIS POSSIBILITY. THE PRODUCT HOLDS LESS VOLUME. WITH THE PREVIOUS PRODUCT IN 12 YEARS I HAD ONLY 2 PUBLIC ACCIDENTS WHERE THE URINE FILLED AND LEAKED (I CARRY SPARES) I HAVE HAD 6 ACCIDENTS IN THE PAST 5 WEEKS WITHOUT WARNING AND BEFORE I COULD GET TO A RESTROOM. IF THERE IS A TRICK TO USING THE NEW ONES, I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND IT.

It stays relatively dry and has great absorbency, pulling moisture away from your sensitive areas. Wet or dry - there weren’t any funky odors if you know what I mean. I’d say these bigger packs a great deal!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These guards worked well for my students. They were absorbent, fit most underwear types well and none of the kids said it was uncomfortable. They held in odor of urine and very easy to use and dispose of.

The latest incarnation (purchased in September 2023 wrapped in a white pouch versus the earlier gray pouch) of the Mens Guards is a step in the wrong direction from the previous version. It is lighter and noticeably less absorbent than the previous version. I will be looking at other brands for comparison now. Previously, I hadn't shopped around because I was so happy with the Guards.

The fit was exactly what they needed and had odor control so it lasted throughout the time that they couldn’t make it to the restroom to the time that they could go and change it, the value was really good and it had a lot of absorbency. These are perfect for when they were riding their bikeor out and about running errands this person doesn’t move slow due to hip issues so these definitely came in handy. I would definitely recommend these.

Overall great product. Hold a decent amount of liquid but sometimes not enough. Especially at night. Also would be nice to have a longer one with more coverage on both the front and back. I require light coverage in both sides. Great for minor drips and leaks but not so great for those sudden surges.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This year, comfort and absorbency where a very well paired match with the fit and older control. I always find that with a product like this you’re not always expecting to get the most value for your money, but this exceeded my expectations.

I have 100% incontinence 6 years after prostate surgery. I use the underwear for exercise only. For 5 years I used the Maximum female pad which worked extremely well and stayed in place due to its more "firm" build. Due to a recent size change to the pad I was using, I switched to the guards. I find the size perfect and they are pretty comfortable. There are a couple of things that could be improved for people like myself with complete incontinence. First a firmer pad. One that holds its shape better. I dont mind changing the pad as often as necessary due to leakage, but I don't like changing it once it loses its shape if its not wet. Second, I would like a thicker pad. I'm sure not everyone would, but for us with full incontinence it would be great. Lastly, I implore you to not make the pads smaller whether for women or men. I understand the need for corporations to maximize profits and downsize products on occasion to achieve this. However, male incontinence protection is not like a can of beans. When you change the size it causes all type of complications from unnecessary leakage to discomfort due to chaffing. If on occasion something has to be changes, I prefer you decrease the package quantity slightly rather than decreasing the size of the pads. Men and women develop a comfort level with a given product and thats why we are loyal to Poise. Please consider the impact you have on our lives when you change the size of individual pads
