Definitely not what I expected

I wanted a great picture and rapid refresh rate. I did get that, but I also got the LG proprietary package that controls the entire system and won't work unless I consent to full accessing of my viewing choices. Additionally, it doesn't have the Roku operating system. SO, in short, I simply paid a lot of money for a good TV monitor. I have my portable Roku attached via one of the HMDI ports and my Dish in another and use those independently of the proprietary operating system of the TV. I gave it 2 stars for the picture quality, the sound system is worse than the 2005 Samsung that it replaced.

Next, I recommend adjusting the below settings to improve your picture and sound.Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments. 2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. 3) Movie: Most suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. 4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching. Fantastic TV! Very impressed with the picture quality and add ons to the TV. Upgrading from a 55 inch Samsung that was a few years old. Love the smart tv functions already built into the TV. When you switch to another SOURCE, it is able to detect what is connected (ROKU). The set up thru the Samsung TV app on my phone was very quick and easy to set up. Well done Samsung!

Not bad but could be better

Picture quality is great. Sound quality is ok but could be better. The unit will lose Internet connectivity. I found the only way to resolve that is to unplug the unit and go through the setup process again. At one point I had to resort to resetting the TV to factory settings to get any of the apps to work.

This is a great tv. Crystal clear and you can watch it from the side! It was very easy to set up. However, the first one I ordered arrived with a cracked screen. Sams club customer service was very prompt in reordering another one & Fed Ex picked it up the next day. I received the replacement within a week. The Fed Ex guys helped me unpack it to make sure it wasn't cracked! It was perfect! It certainly made me feel better about ordering something that big & expensive from Sam's Club.

Is Samsung starting to slip?

I have had a dozen Samsung TVs to work in tandem with my soundbar and subwoofer and cell phone and smartwatch and smart home devices. I have always loved them for their features and functionality and price value and quality. I had bought this exact model a couple of months back and was using it for a few weeks when it started taking 10 or 15 seconds or longer to actually wake up from standby mode. I had a break in and the TV was destroyed. I bought another just like it and have had it for a week or two and it is starting to do the same thing. I'm wondering if they're stand by modes, or their power supplies, or some other component is starting to be poorly made, or quality control has dropped or something.
