Almost perfect

I love everything about the watch except it would never show iMessage notifications in the watch. I tried everything online: make sure all notifications on for the watch and my phone, no DND mode, no battery saving mode, I paired and unpaired, software all up to date, I even factory reset. Absolutely nothing worked. Every other notification worked though. Had to go back to my apple watch. Wildly disappointed.

Great to help with fitness

I recently got my Garmin Instinct 2 watch & so far I'm using it to help me with monitoring my health in my recent retirement. It has a lot of features that I plan on using but using it for time, heart rate & steps is satisfying. I'm looking forward to using it's features this watch has so I'll be busy.

Like them all

Hello I got this for Father's Day everything is ok but after the first night my sleeping is not recording and do I let it run out before recharging it. I was charging it before it runs out but it was only giving me like 27 hours before it runs out. I accidently ran it out recharged it and it went back to 12 days before it runs out right now at this hour it says 4days left.so if you can help me with that it would be great. Over all love it

I am nothing short of highly impressed

I bought the watch on a whim, I was considering a G-Shock but noticed this was on sale at a similar price and with far more features, a great display and a similarly rugged and comfortable build, so I took the plunge. My previous smart watch experience pretty much begins and ends with the Pebble way back when, and I loved it, but have been put off by poor battery life on smart watches since. This lasts a month on a charge, or tries to, I would say closer to three to three and a half weeks, but even then, that more than gives peace of mind in not having to baby it. It has a dizzying array of activity and outdoors functions, built in GPS, albeit with very basic mapping, and a solid ABC sensor array that puts my Suunto to shame. I hadn't considered it on purchasing, but there are a large number of watch faces to download too, and some familiar creator names from the Pebble days. Yeah, grab one, they're really good.

Great watch!

Had been Apple Watch user bought this on sale to try out Garmin and I love it! Love all the metrics like the body battery and the training readiness. Only thing I don't like is having to click to toggle through the menu. Definitely plan on splurging for the touch screen forerunner down the road.

nice but not so nice

I purcjase this watch that was recombined to me by a family member, but after wearing for a week it did not record any sleep info that I really wanted to view except when manually input so I retuned this watch and I purchased a vivoactive 6which is giving me the info I desire

Versatile

The best part is that it can function without google telemetry. Although, it's tuff to know how bad google has infected everything. That said, I like how it allows me to customize it with the features that fit my goals and set aside the other parts. And if my goals change, the watch is customizable.

Insight for Living that's "Instinct"-ive to Use

The standard Instinct 2 is an excellent workhorse smartwatch, and as there's higher end models and newer versions available, I was able to get mine for a bargain. I thought I was going to use mine as mainly a notification tracker, but while it works well as just that, the watch also gets better the longer you leave it on. Sleep and recovery trackers can warn you if you need to take it easy on a given day, and goal markers popping up as you hit your steps and stairs are a nice little boost to the mood. GPS location is an amazing feature that I haven't gotten to use properly yet, but I'm glad it's there. Honestly, I'm just glad this watch has five usable buttons - I wear my watches on my dominant hand, and a button is easier to mess with than a touchscreen. In summation? I love my Instinct 2, so much I may need to find time to take breaks and let it charge, rather than just wear it all the time!

Pleasantly Surprised

I was looking for a simple/basic watch that could record metrics of activities, and that's what I got. Didn't want/need smart features (my phone is sufficient for that) I thought it would be a bit expensive for what it was (still not worth full retail), but pleasantly surprised with its offerings. I was concerned that it would be slow/laggy and that operating the watch via buttons would be clunky or complicated -- the watch is not slow and the usage of buttons is intuitive and it was quick to pick up (took a few days to develop muscle memory). I was also genuinely surprised at the depth of information that the Garmin mobile app provided (from the data recorded on the watch). I'm not an expert in any related field, but the data and subsequent reporting/visualization seems very consumable to the end user. With activity every other day - the watch lasted almost 2 weeks for its full charge (100 -> 0). (I will probably move to a once/week charging schedule).
