Amazing! Gets every crevice!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had electric toothbrushes in the past before but none of the super fancy ones but I absolutely love this one! It's super easy to use and when you use it, you can literally feel it getting every inch of your mouth clean! I've never going back to regular, plain, old toothbrushes.
a whole new level of clean and fresh
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my toothbrush! How many people can say that? It was a breeze to set up. I love the color options on the LED screen. Very gentle, it did not cause gum bleeding. The unit has a nice weight to it, and operation is very quiet. It feels good in my hand. I really dig the AI they created for this.This model not only lights up green when I am applying the right amount of pressure, it also frowns at me if I haven't spent time brushing. It tells me when my job is done. It pairs to my phone via Bluetooth. The companion app is amazing as well, with a lot of features that help me be mindful of my mouth health. I love the goal based setup that focuses on cleaning. The whole system is very encouraging, something that we as adults give but do not get very often.
Awesome Features
Lots more technology than my old Oral B type 3728 professional from 2017. I would rate the toothbrush itself 5 stars. I have an IO9. The Oral B app I would rate at 2 stars. I don't believe the Coverage information that I am given is accurate. 85 to 85% coverage is NOT accurate. I have tried the suggested tooth to tooth and then breaking my brushing into quadrants and I am ABSOLUTELY sure I am hitting ALL tooth surfaces. If you use the unguided portion then all you get is the brushing time and overpressure. The best session score I have had was the very first time that I used the toothbrush. It was a 76. Tooth Coverage was 97%- time was 2 min 53 seconds and over pressure was 4 seconds. The session scores are NOT encouraging when so much is deducted for a SLIGHT overpressure. I bet there is not a person on the planet that can brush their teeth and not have a slight overpressure somewhere. I think the App was meant to encourage good brushing techniques but I find it to be very discouraging when I do my best to improve using the coaching tips and sessions scores dip or never improve. I would like ORAL B to look at coming up with some way to better score the sessions. Again accuracy of brushing using the guided portion of the App just does not appear to be accurate.
Smart toothbrush

It has a magnetic charger and comes with 3 brush heads. You can also down load an app for it as well. It charges really fast and it leaves your teeth and mouth feeling really clean
Everything I need in one toothbrush!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new Oral-B IO9 toothbrush! I have found everything I need in one toothbrush! After so many years of brushing my teeth I can finally say that this toothbrush is the one that does an amazing job like it should be. This rechargeable toothbrush comes with a home and travel case charger and 4 toothbrush refill heads which gives a great start. I love that it has 7 smart modes that are very useful when coming to brushing you will definitely love the features. It also has smart pressure sensor so you will actually know how to brush your teeth and get the most out of it. What also blew my mind away was that I can actually download an app that it will show me 3D teeth tracking to ensure I clean each surface promptly and make sure I those hard to reach areas and make sure I clean them right! I also loved the colored led display that actually tells time and battery life and will show all features mention above. I can say I have everything I look for in a toothbrush in the palm of my hands and definitely recommend it to anyone! It is a life changer and I can't wait for when I do my dentist visit and see if I have been doing teeth cleaning promptly.
Great electric toothbrush, bad bluetooth
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works great as an electric toothbrush. It gets my teeth clean in a way that a regular brush just doesn't. You can feel the difference. When I first started using it, my gums started to bleed (I read this is normal for when starting to use any electric toothbrush). I changed the brush to Sensitive Gums mode and it really helped me ease into it. The pressure sensor is fantastic. When you make too little contact with your teeth, a light on the toothbrush is blue. When you have too much pressure, the light is red. Just right and it glows green. It works every time and really helps get the most out of the brush. The design is also really slick. The all black looks great on my countertop. The one downside is that I could never get the bluetooth to connect to the app on my iPhone 11 Pro. I tried multiple times with uninstalling the app and reinstalling, turning bluetooth on and off, resetting the toothbrush. I tried it all. Unfortunately, there isn't great documentation or videos on this. Here's the upside though - I just admitted defeat and decided not to use those features. And the toothbrush is still really really great even if it can't connect.
LOVE THIS!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this up for myself after getting a previous model for my son. I have to say I actually love it. Has changed brushing my teeth for the better. I have sensitive teeth and overbrush them according to my dentist and this has solved that problem for me. I like the pressure warning of it and how it has the different modes for the kind of brushing you do. The timer is great also and the battery lasts for quite a while. Extremely happy with this and would not hesitate to get again.
The battery will die in less than a year
I bought the iO9 8 months ago and the battery already stopped working. The toothbrush won’t hold a charge at all! I even was careful with it, only charging when it was completely drained and not over charging it. I was excited to use this product since it was my first fancy toothbrush. It’s so disappointing to have something so expensive to fail working in less than a year… Skip this model and buy a cheaper one that will last for years.
Having your iO Series 8 last for only a month isn't what we expect. In fact, this is backed by our limited 2-year warranty on this brush. We're so sorry to hear about this, and we'd love to get it back to working order. While this may not help, we ask that you completely charge the brush up if possible and then fully discharge it. Not worth it..
When I bought this toothbrush a year ago, I was excited. My other electric brush I had for like 10 years and decided to upgrade. The app didn’t work well since day 1. Now one year later, my toothbrush does not hold a charge. I am on day 3 of it dying when I am using it regardless of charging overnight. Just crazy given the price. On top of that, my tooth brush smells no matter how much I rinse and change out my head. Never had this issue with my prior tooth brush. Would have rather kept that one - missing buttons and all.
That is crazy and not what we expect, Megan. This is why we have a limited 2-year warranty on our brush. We're sorry that you're not a fan of our app, that this is happening, and that there's a weird smell coming from your brush, especially when cleaning it after each use. If you have not done so already, please try to fully charge your brush, discharge it, and repeat the process at least two more times. This may help, but we'd like to collect some additional information about why you weren't impressed with the app, and see how we can get rid of that smell after hearing what exactly you've been doing. Great toothbrush!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this toothbrush for about 2 weeks now and absolutely love it! I love the different settings it has and the smart design that tells you if your pressing too hard. Since my husband and I share this toothbrush base it's nice that he can have sensitive settings where I can have the extra clean setting on. The only downside which might be user error is that it won't pair with my phone in the app. It shows up on my phone's wifi but won't detect in the app. Overall great product!
