I agree with the other poor reviews. This "new" ice cream is not NEARLY as good as the ice cream in the whie bucket. Both are Members Mark brand but the manufacturer of this ice cream apparently changed. The consistancy and taste are terrible - more like icy vanilla flavored milk. I love most Members Mark brand products but this one is a huge failure. Please bring back the original!!

This ice cream used to come in a translucent white pail with blue printing. The flavor and texture of the original Member's Mark vanilla ice cream was superior to this version. We would have given it 5 stars for the combination of quality and value. That said -- this new version is not bad -- I would give it 3.5 to 4 stars. It is much better than most supermarket brands. I just wish Sam's would not continually resource items that were getting good reviews. When you recommend a product to someone it would be nice to know that they would indeed get the same product you were reviewing.

This only uses real ingredients. No added oils like they used to do years ago. As a result it may have a less "smooth" mouth feel that prior versions had from added vegetable oils. It stirs easily into milk to make a milkshake quite indistinguishable from what you can get from a major fast food place, which is how I primarily consume it, with my glass straws. I can also easily change the flavor of the "shake" with a sugar free drink syrup (chocolate, strawberry, blueberry). I just tried it with member's mark pulp free orange juice, and it makes a very delicious "shake" too. A "large shake" that costs likely less than 50 cents and takes almost no effort??? That's a winning product! Don't hesitate, buy some soon and try it yourself. You'll love it. The kids will love it even more. P.S. there's no recipe for the shake. Just don't oversaturate the ice cream with milk, or you'll get a float.
