We had a similar experience to another person who stated- her skin looked like it just underwent a chemical peel. Horrible product. I dont know if Neutrogena changed the ingredients. I lived by the products but will have to change as I am watching my family with welts and an overlay of rash and thick peeling skin. Please test a SMALL area before applying.Very very very disappointed.Very painful.

I am very prone to getting sunburned; i have blonde hair and very pale skin and get burned almost every time I go out in the sun for longer than 45 minutes. I use this sunblock whenever I go out in the sun for longer periods of time and I have not burned since. It hasn't caused any acne, dried out my skin, or made it oily. I reapply it every few hours just to make sure I stay protected. Absolutely love it.

I just bought a bunch of this sunscreen for my teenage daughter's lakeside sailing party. During that 12 hours partly sunny day, all the kids and adults used this product all day, and reapplied it periodically. It was non-greasy all right, but everyone was burned by the end of the day! Even the ones who stayed dry inside the tent got a farmer's tan around the face, neck and arm! This product is definitely not water-proof or effective as it claims. I have been using various Neutrogena products for years, some are better than others, but this one prompted me to write my first product review.

Do not buy this product. I have never had a reaction to a skincare product like I did with this one. I needed a new sunscreen so I bought this in store one week and three days ago and since then I have stopped using this product. About 3 days in my skin got so dry that it started coming off in flakes EVERYWHERE. This is the only new product I introduced into my routine in months. At first I thought I just needed more water or to moisture more, but nope, day after day I had these patches of flakes coming off of my forehead, my chin, my cheeks, my eyelids and around my eyes. My cheeks also got bright red and my skin looked absolutely terrible. This product left the skin around my eyes so red sensitive and raw, it hurt to even wash around my eyes with my gentle cleanser. I do not consider my skin to be sensitive at all, so for a product to do this to me is mind boggling. Since I stopped using this sunscreen about 3 days ago my skin seems to be regaining its normal texture and the rawness is slowly going away. I have no idea what they put in this product but I have read numerous other reviews that people's skin has had the same reaction mine did. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

I bought this hoping it would be comparable to the Healthy Defense Oil-Free Sunblock Lotion SPF 45 that Neutrogena discontinued. Not even close. This leaves a thin white layer on the skin that rubs off throughout the day. YuCk! The Healthy Defense Oil-Free Sunblock Lotion SPF 45 was a fabulous product that absorbed into the skin. I wore it daily over my moisturizer, sometimes on its own. I never burned with it and it never dried out my skin. Please bring it back Neutrogena! My kids and I wore it all summer long. So far I have been disappointed in your other suncare products and am being forced to move to another brand.

I bought this product a month ago and it burns so much on my face! Once it drys it leaves powdery residue all over and pills off throughout the day. I have used it a few times hoping that maybe my skin will get accustomed to it but it's just the absolute worst.

I really like the consistency, finish, price and smell. But my face feels burnt so bad as soon as my skin touches it. My facial skin gets used to it after using this few days in raw but I don't think it's healthy. I've tried lower SPF and Clear Face SPF 55 and lower but they all give me the same feeling. I kept using it for while because I really like it other than that problem. I'll use it for the rest of my body so it's still not a waste.

I was surprised to see that I can put this sunscreen on my face. I assumed this was just for the body and I had to buy a specific sunscreen for my face. Boy, was I wrong! I have very oily skin and with the heat, it gets even worse. However, this sunscreen does NOT leave a greasy/oily feel on my body or my face! I was skeptical, but wow! Also, It dries instantly! Must buy this to protect yourself from the sun!

I have been using this product for a few weeks. I always cleanse and wash my face well after use. I found that after using it consistently for about 3 or 4 days, my face began to develop irritating bumps and skin would flake off. I now have a rash all over my face and a dry, tight, and painful feeling all over my face. The rest of my body can handle it but I don't recommend ever using this on your face.
