Up, up, and away! Luckily no kids hurt!

We love this playset but do not love how easily it blew across our yard, taking out trees in the process, and narrowly missing our house. It ended in a heap of twisted metal and broken plastic. The wind was minimal at the time and the sandbox immediately adjacent to the playset did not even have the lid blown off. I watched in horror as the whole thing unfolded; a construction worker next door saw it happen too and came running to make sure everyone was okay. Luckily no kids were on the playset at the time! I do not know if I can, in good conscience, recommend a playset that has the potential to do this. The playset weighs a lot, so the design must be faulty in order to create an uplift that can carry something so big.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought the adventure tower for my kids last week and they absolutely love it. It's well built and very sturdy and good quality. I paid the extra money for lifetime to assemble it and I'm glad I did their are a lot of pieces.

After assembled 5 stars

I looked high and low for a playset that fit my tallest granddaughter. I am the type that has to see the product to be able to know if it fits what I am looking for. Pictures online etc can be very deceiving. I walked into my local Sam's club and found this in display. I instantly knew this was the set for my granddaughters. I wasn't paying the high delivery or assembly charge. So I rented a uhaul and picked it up myself. Over a weeks time, ny husband whom is a trucker, myself and some friends tackled the assembly of this set. The instructions are very vague. The metal is heavy, so at some points like attaching the swing bar to the playhouse we needed an total of three adults which we didn't have. Certain assembly steps in my opinion were out of sequence. There were many things I felt could have been assembled before( like the roof after the leg assembly, as it was a four man job once standing straight up). I could list a few more but you get the idea. This is why I gave it 4 stars. After we got it built, the kids loved it and it's super cool, thus I give the completed playset 5 stars. Just be prepared for what's ahead if there's only two of you trying to assemble this thing. I have build many things and I am so thankful it's finely done a week after starting the assembly.

Family favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My nieces and nephews LOVE the Lifetime Adventure Tower! they play on it basically every day. With such a wide variety of options, their imagination can run wild with countless hours they have played on it. Playing anything from pretend pirates, to just swinging, it is a very great product!

I put it together by myself

So far so good. Did a lot of research with different brands and decided on Lifetime because of their reputation and quality. I wanted something that my kids can play on for years to come. Although I liked the look of most wood playground sets, they never seem to last because they're made of cheap wood. Definitely don't regret that decision. I also put the whole thing together by myself. I'm just a DIY'er with a decent amount of tools, not a professional tradesman. Couldn't really ask anyone for help as well due to the pandemic. But I likely woulda tried tackling it myself anyway because I'm an idiot. So, I can prove that this can be put together with only one person, however I don't recommend it unless you are a glutton for punishment. Took about a week, putting in 2-3 hrs a day. The directions are fairly easy to follow, but I definitely screwed up once or twice and had to backtrack a bit. If the legs had better designation or explanation, this could certainly be avoided. I suggest for anyone putting it together to pay close attention once you get to the upper rails portion of the tower. 50/50 shot that you put it together backwards, which of course I did. But I enjoyed building it and my 2 year old daughter loves it already. Still a little big for her but again, I wanted something her and her soon to be sister could enjoy for years to come.

Slide and ladder are poor design

We bought our playground in 2018 and it only roll our kids going up ladder and down slide one time to see how poor design it was. Clearly, they did not have kids test it. The slide has a bump in middle that causes a very uncomfortable ride down and can't understand why it is there. Honestly, it is painful to watch my kids go down. Now the ladder is also slanted in a way for kids to easily fall through. Look at others reviews/pictures to see how they had to secure with different material. All they needed was kids to test it before they manufactured this in mass. Little changes could go a long way for this set.

We are sorry you have not had a good experience. All of our playsets meet ASTM safety standards. However, As with any playground equipment, proper precautions should be observed. On-site adult supervision should be provided at all times. To prevent entanglement and strangulation, dress children appropriately, using well-fitting shoes and avoiding ponchos, scarves, jackets with neck drawstrings, and other loose-fitting clothing that is potentially hazardous while using equipment. Love it..... But....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased and installed the swing set two weeks ago for our grandchildren that range in age from 2 1/2 - 4 1/2, and they love it. Our only concern is the ladder leading to the clubhouse. As the child climbs the arched ladder, there is 10" opening between the top rung and the clubhouse platform, which the child can easily fall through. I contacted Lifetime and explained the situation. We feel an additional rung at the top of the arch would prevent our grandchildren from falling through. Lifetime advised they aren't able to send the requested rung because it will void the warranty and potentially be a safety issue. Isn't the 10" gap that my grandchild can fall through a safety issue? Wish they had a better answer.

Thanks for taking time to post Louise. The gap has been looked at quite a few times by our engineers. It used to be 13" but we closed the gap as much as we could while still adhering to ASTM standards. ASTM is a code of regulations that manufacturers have to follow. I know this may not be the answer you were looking for but I hope it helps.

Durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this for earlier this year and the kids love it. We have a 7 year old girl and a 3 year old boy. Even the neighbor kids come play on it. I love that it matches the rest of my durable lifetime products. Like all the lifetime products we own- this too is a hit when it comes to value and quality. My in-laws purchased another brand swing-set from a big box store and it barely lasted them 6 months before it started swaying and getting loose;and it was in dumpster within 2 years. We had an installation party and we had about 4-6 guys on and off for about 8 hours to get it up, definitely not a one man set up, but it gave us a reason to have a cookout so it was all good in the end.

Add-ons and smiles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this Playset over 10 years ago and as foster parents we have had countless amounts of foster children who've enjoyed playing on it. We still have children mention this playground when we run into them out in our community. As a retired police officer and mother I enjoy bringing smiles to the children who came to us with no smiles when they arrived. The only downfall is I wished we could extend this set to add more to it but I haven't seen that as a possibility yet. We were thinking how nice it would be to be able to add the monkey bars and possibly two extra swings. We even thought about a Ninja warrior course because more than probably 100 times our children have us time them as the rush through ever single part of the tower and it's options. It is a super fun experience that we can have in our backyard 😀 thank you Lifetime and if you ever open up the idea to allow owners the options to do add-ons please let us know. Many foster children would enjoy such things. Thank you.

No instruction manual

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is Christmas Eve, I am trying to put this together for my 3 children and there are no instructions included. No problem I'm thinking, I'm sure I can find them online. NOPE, none of the product ID's (seems to be a different one for each box) are working, the link to help you find the product ID is not working and Customer Service is closed for the holidays. While I am glad the company gave the employees off for the holiday, I am not impressed so far..............
