[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] InnovAsians General Tso’s Chicken frozen entree was a quick and tasty meal for my family. The nice quantity of chicken is high quality white breast meat and, true to it’s claim, lightly battered. There was also plenty of the sweet, tasty, slightly spicy, BBQ with sesame seed sauce included in the packets that came with the meal. The cooked entree was appealing in appearance and texture. I served it along side some white rice and peas.

I’ve been looking at many different types of food to try in my brand new air fryer and I came across this product and it’s absolutely amazing! Nice big juicy chunks of chicken, great flavors and sauce! This chicken is so good I’ve bought 3 more bags already! My new favorite addiction!

I can admit I'm no top chef but when the kids and I are home and craze a homemade feel when my wife is gone THIS is PERFECT! I thought it would be spicier but even our three year old ate and asked for seconds. That is a win in my book! The chicken is juicy and the light batter is a great texture. The sauce isn't over powering. We paired this with jasmine rice and broccoli to make a complete meal that satisfied all 6 family members!

I usually get the orange chicken which I actually really like but saw this and wanted to give it a try. It is a little spicy but its not anything crazy like the other reviews. I wouldn't feed it to kids but I would compare it to a medium salsa. What I really didn't like about it is it is sooooo sweet. Also the orange chicken comes into separate bags so I can make 2 meals.. this one only comes with one bag but 2 sauces?! My husband liked it more than me so it might be worth the try. My husband also prefers the orange chicken.

The sauce was also delicious and following the instructions on the box will get you an end result that looks just like the picture on the box. However, I don’t believe it tastes like General Tso’s chicken. It’s more like honey glazed chicken with sesame seeds and a few chili flakes.

But nope, took me about 20-30mins just to get these chicken “crispy” enough using the pan fry method! N how do u get it crispy with just 2 teaspoons of oil?!!! N 8 mins of stirring?!!! Anyways, would have been much easier, faster n crispier if I had an air fryer … Plus 2 packets of sauce was an overkill… this momma only used one, saving the other packet to modify and make different dish. Pros: made with real chicken breast meat. Big chunks of chicken meat. Quite a decent amount. Lots of sauce provided Cons: sauce too sweet for my Asian tastebuds Not crispy enuff (better to put it in the airfryer) Not a quick fix meal. My American hubby said he liked it, my 2 kiddos didn’t ask for seconds or didn’t want it as leftovers and this momma equates it to = Chinese food at the food court here in the USA. Was not planning on making the entire thing, but ended up doing so because it wasn't as huge of a bag as we imagined. It still served 4, with a decent amount of leftovers. Paired it with vegetable fried chicken. My dad ate some, but said it was way too spicy for him. My mom enjoys spicy and said she thought it was really good. I'm on the fence about spice level. I can't handle a kick in food like I used to. I can eat it with a spoonful of rice and there is a little lingering "burn" but its not too bad. The chicken was easy to cook, and had a good amount of sauce! Which I normally prefer, so I can mix it in with the rice. The chicken itself was great with a nice texture. I would definitely recommend for those who enjoy spice, I think for myself I would pick something less next time. I did notice Innovation brand at Walmart, so I'll have to look and see what other options they have!
