Oftentimes, if it is a frozen prepackaged meal that includes chicken, the chicken texture and taste tend to be gamey and this wasn't. I used an air fryer to prepare it and followed the instructions provided. The sauce was spicier than expected, which was also a plus for me. It was a little expensive for the portion size, but not a bad freezer meal to have on hand for nights you're too lazy to cook or go out.

We cooked the chicken in an air fryer so it got real crispy and then covered it with the sauce. You do get a TON of sauce, way more than we used, so you will have plenty. While the taste is pretty good, it is not really general tso's chciken - closer to chicken nuggets with sauce.

The chicken was tender, the sauce was flavorful with a perfect sweet and slightly spicy kick, and the texture had that classic crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside feel you expect from a good General Tso’s. The packaging is convenient and easy to store, and cooking was super simple — it only took about 10 minutes from freezer to plate. However, I did check the ingredients on the Yuka app and it scored 8/100 due to 13 additives (5 high risk, 3 limited risk, 5 risk-free), and it’s also high in sugar and sodium. Nutritionally, it’s something I’d recommend keeping as a party or treat food rather than an everyday meal. One box is about the size of a single restaurant entrée and contains 3 servings, with each serving at 370 calories and 63g of carbs. Overall, it’s a delicious and easy-to-make option when you want that takeout flavor at home — just enjoy it in moderation!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this product about a week ago. The chicken was delicious fresh out of the oven. The tempura coating was crisp and tasty. The sauce was too sweet for my taste and I guess I had expected a few peas or some other vegetables to be included in the box.

My husband bought these on impulse and truthfully, I was doubtful how good they could be. I'm not always impressed with frozen versions of foods I love. However, I am very pleased to say that my fears were definitely unfounded! These were absolutely delicious! They are also a good value for the price. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves General Tso's chicken!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up this Innovasian General Tao’s chicken to have on hand for nights when I needed a quick, hot meal and didn’t want to cook from scratch. After preparing it last night, I am highly impressed with not only how tasty it is, but how quick and simple it was to prepare. And the meal was delicious and the portions were just right for the three people in our family. I served it with rice and a simple side salad. We don’t like a lot of sauce on our chicken, so I did not use the entire packet, however, for those who like more sauce, there is plenty of sauce in the package.. Overall, I will be buying this again and I highly recommend it! You won’t be disappointed!
