Awful taste

I like these a lot

I usually buy Atkins shakes... Thought I would try Evolve since it was on sale. Bought Double Chocolate and was very impressed!  I really liked the taste and that it was plant based.  Will definitely buy again when it goes on sale. BTW... Only buy Atkins when on sale also.

Not a fan. Too thick and the taste is just not for me. I prefer chocolate to taste like chocolate.

Do not recommend and will never purchase again. I am drinking because I don't want them to go to waste, but in the future I will stick with Orgain Clean Protein or Premier Protein.

I LOVE this shake, it's one of my favorites. I usually mix it with a cup of Silk almond and cashew milk for even extra protein and cold brew coffee. Perfect iced coffee protein drink! I will always recommend it

Delicious!

I've always liked the product and it's been cheaper at Sam's compared to other places. Obviously that's normal cause we pay monthly or yearly for our membership. I'll check prices at other places but probably a no after this increase.

Went up $6 in a week!

The Evolve plant based protein shake tastes terrible to me. It has an aftertaste that doesn't stop. I had to drink something else just to get rid of the aftertaste. The nutritional value is seriously lacking when compared to other protein shakes. I know I will never get this brand again. Yuck!

Persistent Bad Aftertaste

I was given a single bottle of Evolve Double Chocolate Plant-Based Protein Shake to sample, so this review is based on first impressions only. As for taste, it's a pretty standard chocolate protein shake. Emphasis on ‘Protein'. We all know that slightly ‘off' taste of a protein shake, and this was no different. I didn't get a huge chocolate flavor from it, but could definitely tell it was meant to be chocolate. There is also that extremely sweet after taste standard with Protein Shakes. It seems slightly thinner than my regular protein shake, but has a very similar consistency to low-fat milk (see pour video). 

Now for the ingredients. I like that Evolve uses pea protein - though it does have 10 fewer grams of protein than my go-to protein shake. For me, the best feature was the 10 grams of Dietary Fiber - my go-to only has 1 gram. Ideally, that high protein, high fiber combo will keep you satiated longer, but as I only had 1 shake, I can't say for certain. 

Overall, my first impression is that this is a perfectly fine protein shake. I didn't like it enough to switch from my go-to, but might pick up a case of Evolve and supplement it in on occasion.

Great fiber, decent taste.
