Very interesting book delving behind the scenes of the Kennedy crew, and the realizing how crappy a lot of them were and still are.

I was not familiar with the author Maureen Callahan, but I was impressed by her scholarship as I watched Andrew Klavan interview her regarding the release of her new book, Ask Not. The text is enhanced by a table of contents, photo sections, extensive notes, a bibliography, an index, and a Kennedy family tree. The table of contents is useful because it specifies which women are featured in each chapter. In addition, using the index is helpful because the same woman is often referenced in more than one chapter. I have not extensively followed news about the Kennedy family in the past, but I was familiar with many exploits of the Kennedy men. Ms. Callahan's book includes many interesting details that were previously unknown to me. I would recommend reading Ask Not to gain an understanding of the political and cultural significance of the Kennedy family in the recent history of our nation.

This book truly destroys the myth that the Kennedys have managed to build around themselves. It shows the ruthlessness of the way they build their "empire" without caring about the lives they destroyed.

This is an interesting read. It starts out being a little dull but picks up soon. Also has lots of pictures which I like to see in books. I definitely would recommend the book
