I received this is a gift, installed it and had problems with it from the start. I tried numerous times to resolve them and ultimately decided it wasn't worth the disappointment or hassle. I was sad because this was the 3rd Vizio I owned and never had problems with the other 2. But it just was more trouble than it was worth.

Terminology is different than I was used to and that makes learning a bit much. Otherwise, once I got a handle on where things were and the terminology to use them, this is a terrific unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The app section can be confusing at first but once you play around you will get a handle on it in no time. other than that its a basic Smart TV that seems to have very little lag and good picture quality. Perfect for any bedroom but I would upgrade to something nicer for any entertainment room but this would also work well in that area as well.

I immediately knew when I hooked my TV up, that it was a bad purchase. Problem was it was bought as a gift for my family, so it sat, hidden in a closet for about 6 weeks. So not able to return. Not happy, but got to live with it. Straight on viewing is ok, but move 5 degrees to the right or left and it fades to a white opaque shadowing. DO NOT BUY!!! What's so bad, is I now 2 other Vizio's and love them. One is about 12 years old and the other is about 6 years old. No issues. Guess, Vizio decided money for stock holders is more important than a quality tv. Knew I should have bought the LG, it looked better in the store, but video content was what I thought the reason was. OH WELL!!!

It was a great unboxing experience, well thought out. I had read all the good and bad reviews and made decision to buy it and glad I did. The VIZIO V-Series 55" TV is very intuitive but you have to follow set up instructions. You also have to go to setting and make the necessary changes. My sound bar is set on PCM. Firestick on HDMI1. I am 69 years young and not a Gamer.

It looks so good in 4k I just can't believe how much better it is than my old 1080p Vizio plasma I bought in 2008 (which still works great by the way). For peace of mind, do yourself a favor and buy the 4 year warranty! I did, and now just in case I'm one of those unlucky one that get lines developing later down the road, WHO CARES!! This tv is totally worth it and don't worry about any of the negative reviews. If you want a tv of this size, or any size, Vizio is the way to go! Very happy customer and will only buy Vizio in the future!

Great TV, make sure if you purchase this TV you update it right out the box. But with the great Support Team that Vizio has they were able to help me and get me going. TV has a lot of adjustability, you can modify every little detail on the TV so you can get it just the way you want it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been loyal to Samsung all my life but these new Samsung tvs just don't last long, I bought a Vizio to replace my Samsung that died after having it 3 years, I love the way Vizio is setup with the Home Screen and the fact I can use my airpods for gaming with this tv is amazing! If you're a gamer that has multiple consoles or your looking for a budget friendly tv then this Tv is perfect for you!
