Do not buy a Vizio tv. You will regret it! It will mechanically fail 2 years after purchase and they DO NOT CARE either!! They tell you "well you better buy another." It will be right after or around the end of your warranty. It's ridiculous. They use cheap parts from all over. I am tech certified please listen and buy a Samsung or something like that. If you spend a little extra it will last you a lot longer!

I decided to purchase a Vizio because I had previously bought my son a Vizio 32" smart tv d series and it has worked great since day one. Without hesitation, I bought myself this 40" Vizio smart tv. Excellent choice.

The only thing we need now is a sound bar to go with the TV since my husband is getting more hard of hearing and his vanity does not offer a hearing aid, but a sound bar is fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv is just what I wanted for my bedroom. Tons of apps and free tv. 1080p res is awesome for a small tv. Full array. Wi fi and Chromecast. You can even control it with Alexa. Such a great tv at a great price.

Working fine so far... May need to adjust the brightness, seems not very bright in "sunporch" setting... and we must keep the volume set almost to 100.. I am going to reduce the 'base" setting to 0, may help.. We are only 8 feet away.. Had two Samsung TVs, both went bad with very little use.. Never buying Samsung again.. ..

Love this TV's video quality! Has a lot of apps but will not allow to add new apps. To view Direct TV Stream I had to purchase a RoKu. I've never owned a RoKu but I love it's interface and the high quality video it provides. Vizio's app/Smartcast works great but with all the new offerings new TV's should let you add new apps.

I wish it had ear bud capability. I had to use my fire stick in order to use war buds. I am hearing impaired. But o love this brand

Purchased D series to fit into small space and no additional cable boxes.. Has built in Smartcast so no need for Chromecast. Has headphones port. No digital optical cable availability. Also cannot add apps (per cus svc) like Spectrum, etc. Number of free tv channels. Gave 4 stars because fits my needs perfectly for numerous sporting events at same time.
