Situational Dependant

I've only had this TV for a week, and each day, I have wanted to take it back. At first, when setting up the TV, it is difficult to tell what you are selecting until after you hit the "OK" button. If you don't select data tracking, you cannot stream anything. After finally finishing initial setup, the TV attempted to download and install a series of updates; it was not able to complete all the instalations. Sometimes when turning the set on, it will not connect to the Wi-Fi; in order to remedy this, I would have to turn the set off then on again until it connected. Speaking of the remote, there is a lag from the time a button is pressed to when the TV responds. The remote which came with the set is not arranged the same as the one in the User's Manual, therefore, I had to play around with the remote to see what button corresponded to the manual's depictions. The menus are not intuitive, in fact there is not a "menu" button on the remote; these functions are under the "settings" button. The HD picture is great, but black screens have bleeding on the upper edge. The TV is light and easy to mount (once you figure out the size of the screws you need). TV is perfect for college dorm, children's room, or some other tertiary TV setting.

Nice product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv to replace an old one we have in our kitchen; it is a great product! Only downside is that you cannot add apps to this tv unfortunately, so I needed to add a fire stick to get the app for my cable company. Other than that, it is a great product that I would recommend.

Good tv for the cost

I use this tv for entertainment and security camera display. The tv factory picture settings are for my tastes are lackluster. I like vibrant colors and vivid picture clarity. The good news is the tv comes with a vast array of picture adjusting features. I achieved the picture I wanted but I used the color calibration and white tuner to achieve this. This is not for everybody to attempt. Most would leave it alone or hire a tech to set these features. For that reason I didn't give it a 5 star. The general public would not like to mess with it. I have other tv's that get a great picture with only using the standard color.tiunt.contrast and so on. Overall the tv is very good but I had to work at it .

No Spectrum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this Vizio D-series 40" TV for our guest room. After setting it up and downloading all the Applications we went to download the Spectrum App. only to learn that Vizio does not support Spectrum! This was very disappointing to say the least as it takes time to pick up the unit, unpack it and set it up only to find out that we just wasted time. The manufacturer should say on the box for the consumer to check with their cable carrier to see if it is compatible before the purchase of this brand; Vizio.

Terrific product, and….

Purchased this 24inch TV 2 weeks ago and it is doing everything we want. Excellent picture quality, fits on the kitchen counter and under the cabinet perfectly. Only comment is that the volume doesn't get loud enough when there's a lot happening. But overall, a great product at a reasonable price!

Picture is great!

My major complaint is that there is a solid 5 second lag between when I push a button on the remote and then the action occurs. I have had other Vizio products in the past including tvs and sound bars and this is the first product I have had an issue with.

Awesome tv for mobile truck

Total disappointment

I've had the tv for several months and I'm not impressed. It looses connection to the wifi all the time and the router is literally 10 feet away. Recently there was an update installed and the tv wouldn't even get past the initial set up. Per customer support I reset the tv and it does at least turn on. One of the new features is a remote on your phone once paired with the tv. Not only does that remote not work but now the original remote doesn't work with all the buttons. I'm currently unplugging it to turn it off. If I could return it to the store I would

Hopefully Better Days Ahead

I purchased two of these for my bedrooms and have had trouble with them both after only a week of use. They stop responding to the remotes, freeze on a black screen, disconnect from our network, and more. We on several occasions have had to unplug them to reset, sometimes a few times a day. The firmware is up to date as well. I've recently factory reset one to see if it helps. Fingers crossed.

Everything you need in a TV!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a second Vizio TV for my home, this one for the living room. My favorite feature is the free apps that are included! Watch free has some of my favorite shows; a channel of just CSI!!! And of course, it has the apps for streaming services; Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, Tubi, to name a few. The picture and sound are incredible as well.
