The brand was a waste of my money. It becomes stuck on the channel so you have to keep refreshing it, the volume sucks %26 the picture fades out. That's what I get for being cheap you get what you pay for. I should've stayed with TCL.

disappointing sound

The picture is clear in this tv, but the sound is not good. It sounds as if the speakers are blown. i missed the return window because we didnt set it up right away, so I will need to buy bluetooth speakers and see if they work better.

its OK for a guest bedroom

I bought it for my sister for her bedroom. The sound quality and picture are not as great as her previous tv and she can definitely tell the difference. The volume is hard to adjust since its loud during certain parts of a show or movie and really quiet in others. Also according to her it takes a long time to start up.

I got a TV that had been used I have to switch the HDMI cable from port 1 to 2 and back every time I turn it on! I paid for a NEW TV and did NOT get one. I will think longer before I buy anymore electronics from Walmart I'm disabled and I am very disappointed

I am replacing my older Vizio TV with this one after it had long-served its purpose and gave out. This newer model, D40f-J09, has a lot of smart features, great sound and a vibrant picture. The only thing I wish it had is built-in bluetooth (but i can attach a separate bluetooth receiver myself which i intend to do). The only major complaint is that adding the two legs to the bottom of this TV due to their design is outrageously-complicated and caused me to curse quite a bit.

To be honest i almost took the TV back I don't appreciate how Walmart stops me at the door to look to see my receipt. Over a purchased that the person just watched me go through the line and pay for it almost made me return it I stopped going to Walmart for about 5 or 6 year ago over this and more likely I will stop shopping at Walmart because of this incident.

Bought tv for granddaughters room. It has a lot of features on it. I didn't go through all of them. Realized that all the apps on tv slows it down and then you have to buy additional memory stick. Too complicated. Nice tv with a vivid picture. Vizio makes a good product

Worst Vizio tv ever.

I have owned nothing but vizio tvs. From the time they first started making the. that tv still works great. this new tv that I just bought has had nothing but problems. the HDMI ports wont play video from a PS4. that was the first problem. next problem is that because it is a streaming tv it needs Wi-Fi to stream only it cant keep a Wi-Fi signal strong enough to stream amazon Prime movies. simple fix would be to wire the tv only there is on Wi-Fi port in the tv. so now I have a 250$ streaming tv that doesnt do anything that i need it to do. total waste of money. Vizio has begun making garbage TVs. guess you get what you pay for. my advice to anyone buying a tv is spend the extra 50$ and go with a LG or Samsung of the same size. im sure you will have way better quality with it.
