I just purchased this today and I have to say so far it's great. I went from a 32 in to this 50 in. At first I was a little concerned at how dark the screen was compared to the in store demo model, but then after exploring all the settings, I found where if you turn off the energy saving feature the screen brightness just pops! It's perfect now. The sound is fantastic, I don't feel the need for extra speakers but then again I'm not one for the whole theater surround sound experience. I now need to buy a larger tv stand, they don't list the measurements between the feet of the tv, which I think is 38 inches from the outter edge of the feet. All in all its a really nice tv and relatively easy to set up, just don't be afraid to explore the settings.

was trying to keep this tv - bought it ,hook it up and adjust everything i mean all auto and manual adjustments for couple hours - too dark ! but !! found out i was sitting off the center of the screen - about 40' off - and when i sat in the direct front ,picture was ok and pretty bright but any other angle it was too dark ,since my room configuration i have one couch on the side i cant keep it ,other then that tried netflix and hulu and they both worked ok

The 50" is a VA panel so you must sit in the front-center of this TV. (side note - the 55" is an IPS panel with better viewing angles). -intolerable viewing angles - must sit directly in front-center of the screen for a decent image - degrades rapidly moving to each side. -Extremely exaggerated posterization with standard definition sources and from service providers (cable) that apply high compression. -intolerable color, contrast, brightness issues with every local source video. Did not keep it long enough to try the streaming apps. I had to return it. The Sony kd55x750f appears to be worth consideration. After a good amount of picture feature adjustments - I haven't messed with the settings or complained like I did with the models (below) that I had to return due to intolerable image problems: LG- 50UK6500AUA (returned) Sceptre- X505BV-FSR (returned) Vizio- D43f-F1 (returned)

Great buy, have to be careful with the TV bargains, some have no tuners. Just saying. This one has it all.
