Very Nice

We've had this fridge for around 6 months. I needed a smaller fridge to fit into a unique area and I wanted a bottom freezer. I like the looks and it seems like a quality fridge. It works very well and cools items very quickly when putting things that aren't cold into it (I have a thermometer to monitor fridge and freezer). Ours isn't noisy at all compared to other reviewers. I also know that any newer fridge is going to be noisier than pretty much any older fridge, but like I said ours isn't noisy at all. In fact, I think it's quieter than our main fridge (different brand).

Overall Nice Fridge for counter depth needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 20 plus year old fridge died and I was very limited with space requirements due to galley kitchen. I did not want to downsize and this 15cu feet, fit perfectly (except for the doors which thankfully were able to be reversed). After using it for a few days I am basically very happy with, but have a few engineering suggestions. To start with the good it is a nice design, very quiet and very well laid out fridge with lots of space, especially in door. What stops it from being a 5 star rating is the freezer has no light which I am finding is not uncommon for some reason. It comes with a 8 egg holder tray which is kind of useless in my opinion. I just keeps eggs in carton and put on shelf. Not a big deal. Biggest annoyance is the ice tray. It comes a ok sized ice bin but has a flimsy tray that flips over and I only tried once but it makes super small cubes and only kind of works. I took it out and just use a standard ice tray on top of bin which seems to work ok. Seems like an after thought.

Enjoying my new fridge.

I wanted a bottom freezer but not the big drawer that will have my items buried in the bottom like hidden in the back. I love the drawers/door combination. Have it organized so I can always find things and have far less freezer burnt product going to waste. It would be nice to have more height options with the fridge shelves (both on the door and in the main body), but we have managed to adjust to what is available. It has an awesome little icemaker/keeper that takes up little space in my freezer and does not need a water supply. I am thoroughly enjoying my new fridge.

After repairs it is acceptable but not great

When it was delivered 2 years ago, all my vegetables in the crisper FROZE. The repairman found a problem on the control board and fixed it. But the problem wasn't fixed. He came back and changed the entire board. Then only some veggies froze. I lined the crisper with slabs of thin styrofoam. That insulated the crisper enough so that my veggies no longer freeze. Of course each time the repairman came out I needed to totally empty the refrigerator for him to work on it. Quite a nuisance. I have adjusted to the layout of the shelves but they are not great and not adjustable. I kept two bins from my old fridge for cheese and dried fruit because this has only the one drawer. So the refrigerator is OK but not great.

LG Dimension of depth with door open off 5"

LG lists refrigerator depth with door at 90% open as 46.7" while actual is over 51". This was an important clearance dimension for me and I have to cut away part of my bar counter to accommodate. Other than that I like its look, its use of interior space and so far it is very quiet. The door shelves great help to access items. Plastic shelves and drawers seem a bit flimsy, hope they hold up. One shelf is a two piece "trick" glass shelf that is split in the middle so that the front half can slide under the back half allowing taller items on the front half of the lower shelf. I was putting glass bottles on the front half of the "trick" shelf and when I pushed a bottle to slide it further back, the front half of the trick shelf, tipped down to slide under the back half of the shelf. Other bottles on the front half fell over, it was glass bottles falling over on a glass shelf. Fortunately nothing broke, but I felt compelled to rig a gap wedge to prevent the front half from moving and tipping enough to upset standing bottles. The refrigerator is efficient with space, very quiet and looks nice. I might have given it a 4 star if only LG did not make such an important dimensional error.

Poor Freezer section

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the unit 2 days ago. The cool section is fine with lots of space and well arranged. The unit on display was not powered so we did not notice the lighting issue. There is no light in the freezer section making it very hard to see your food. The included ice cube tray is a space waster

Noisy!!

I just bought this and it is so noisy! I had an lg refrigerator before, similar but slightly different model, that was very quiet. I don’t know if it’s this model or this particular refrigerator, but it makes a loud vibrating noise. It is for a small apartment so I can’t have this level of noise, plus I’m afraid the thing will eventually break. It’s very frustrating because now I will have to send it back.

Freezer stopped working after 2 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this fridge for about 2 years. Warranty ofc is no longer viable. Freezer is no longer working. ice cream and other frozen food melting. A 2 year old fridge shouldn't do this. I had a cheap Amana with a bottom freezer and its still going strong 24 years which is insane. Junk. Do not recommend.
