Very Useful

I received this two weeks ago. It is very useful. I like using it particularly on the golf course. Very accurate. Thank you.

Beyond expectations

I have been blown away but what this watch can do and how beneficial I feel that it's already been for my training. I am a runner, biker, and xc skier and so far have been using the watch to help level my running up. The Garmin Epix has provided me so much great feedback already and I can't recommend it enough. I've been able to both up my pace and intensity - I think I was under training and also diversify my training through feedback from the watch. The fit is super comfortable, too. I thought I would never wear it at night and I have not only not taken it off, I rarely notice it's on, which is very different from my prior watch.

Love my new Epix 2

I'm coming from an Apple Watch S6 and I'm so glad I made the switch to Garmin. I feel I have a much better understanding of my training readiness and results. My only regret is that I did not wait a couple of weeks. I ordered white but would have much preferred grey (which very recently) became available.

Always on not always on misleading

First Garmin watch I ever sent back . "always on is not always on," I hate that it goes black after no movement. I have worn Garmin from forerunner 101. If this new Amoled display goes into all future devices and there is not an actual always on, I will move onto to Polar Or Coros .

My Second Garmin

I have owned my Epix Gen 2 for a month now and love it. I upgraded from a Venu 2 that I have had for over a year. I like the additional information and statistics that I get with the Epix even though I am not a super athlete. I am 72 years old and play pickleball 3 days a week... Ride my bicycle at least 10 miles on the other days. The looks of the watch are also a great feature for me. It looks less like a smartwatch and more like a sport watch.

Garmin epix

This watch is likely the last one you'll need for a very long time. It's incredibly accurate in all metrics as is expected in any Garmin, but the customization abilities for each activity really set this watch apart from everything else. It's literally a Fenix 7 but with an amazing AMOLED display, and once you use this display you'll never want to go back.

It's ok

I bought this a month ago and was annoyed during the initial set up when the watch prompted me to input my sleep schedule. I work 12 hour graveyard shifts only on weekends, so my sleep schedule flips during the week so I get to be awake and outdoors on my days off work. The watch would not accept my weird sleeping schedule, and continued to say there was an ‘overlap' even though the sleep and wake hours did not overlap. So I just skipped that part and made up a sleep schedule since the watch would not let me move past imputing that info before allowing me to move forward with the setup process. The other thing I don't care about with this watch that my Apple Watch does is the boxing feature and some of the other activities that are already preset into the watch. I wish this watch had some of those preset activities. So, I'm just going to use this watch for outdoor stuff. It's okay I guess.

Garmin Epix Gen 2

This watch is amazing. I primarily purchased this watch with hunting in mind. I have two German Shorthaired Pointers and often hunt grouse in Northern Maine where cell phone service is unavailable and some areas are only accessible through dirt roads. Having the GSP features for this is amazing. The maps load faster than any GPS I have used thus far. The watch fits around my medium sized wrist and provides ample comfort.

Does what it's supposed to do

It's a solidly built watch. I wouldn't expect anything less from Garmin. Bought it to replace the head unit on my bike and it works flawlessly. Also, the map feature has come in handy in the back country several times. Overall, a nice watch for what it is.

Does not work with wrist tattoos.

I purchased this with high hopes it would replace my instinct tactical. Found that almost all features are dependent on heart rate monitor working. Both my arms are sleeved with tattoos and heart rate monitor is almost completely inoperative. I tried the "hack" where you place an epoxy button sticker over the green leds and found heart rate monitor does work normally now. Found that the sticker comes off a lot and causes the heart rate to stop reading. At the end of the day, I don't want to spend this much on a premium watch that I have to constantly apply a sticker on to make it functional.
