They are necessary but not that good. About 2-3 years ago there were 2 brands that worked for me, but both made design changes about the same time. This was one of the brands. The changes resulted in leakage that happened before I realized it. This brand is better than the store brand I sometimes used, but have since discontinued. I have tried other brands, but none works as well as these. Having said that, these are still inadequate.

I have no issues with the Depend product and will continue to purchase them in the future. However, from now on I will be be ordering them from Amazon. Amazon's price is comparable to Walmart's, but Walmart uses FedEx for delivery while Amazon uses UPS. UPS is the preferred delivery service in our area and customers have many complaints with FedEx. UPS always delivers my purchases to our front porch, FedEx, on the other hand, leaves packages at the end of our driveway and will not bring them to the front porch. This means I have to go and pick up the Walmart/FedEX delivery and carry it back up our steep and sometimes slippery driveway, in both good and bad weather. FedEx has left our packages in a snowbank at the beginning of our driveway and has left expensive items in cartons where they are susceptible to theft and to our New England weather conditions. But no more.....I have gotten to the point that I have difficulty retrieving my purchases from the street. At 82 years of age I prefer to have my purchases delivered where I can easily get to them. Walmart is not at fault, but they chose a delivery service that is unsatisfactory to me.

My husband has Alzheimer's and thus has become incontinent these guards have saved the day for him. Using them in his underwear have provided him with a product that allows him to wear the guards in his underwear without having his slacks to be soiled throughout the day.

You can be confident that this product delivers on its promise to provide maximum protection and absorbency. I have been using them with my disabled husband for 24/7 care for some 15 months and have no leakage to report! Walmart has the best price service and delivery I am yet to find elsewhere. Thank you!

The product arrived in good order and on time. My original motivation to order them was a post-surgical issue. The problem had soon resolved itself and I returned the shipment unopened for a full refund at Walmart Store #1104, Vancouver - Grandview, no questions asked.

Work well for mild to moderated incontinence. One pad will last a full day without leaking if properly situated in your underwear. Changing the pad before it is totally saturated will help keep odor from getting too bad. Let your condition dictate how you use the pads and how often you change them. The price is tolerable. Until I find something better I would recommend this product.

the pads are huge. Over 3 inches wide, and quite thick. They might be useful for invalid, but I was shopping for Mens shield thin pad for light incontinence. The screen photo between shield and guards looked nearly the same. When order recieved in a white plastic wrapper it looked nothing the item shown on your screen.

I have used the old designed guards for over 20 years and they worked well. Tis new design is terrible and does not have enough material in the middles of the underwear which causes leaks. Also they don't seem to hold as much urine. I will be switching to a different brand as these are poorly designed. Who's idea was that to make this change?
