[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd LG OLED TV, and the technology just keeps getting better. I don't really use the home screen or many of the features, since I go straight to Roku. But it's a beautiful picture. And the sound is good enough that I am not using my sound bar.

The only downside is that sometimes, more often than I like, when using a streaming app it will get stuck buffering and the only way to exit out is to unplug the TV to reset it so I can get back to my homescreen or my Dish connection. There really isn't an easy way to switch inputs.

Wow this TV is FANCY! I got a great deal on it, and it has such a beautiful picture, and the AI sound thing is crazy, it sounds so like I have speakers all over the room. I'm very pleased. The remote takes some getting used to but its super nice once you get used to it.

We bought the unit about 5 months ago. Was great until a sharp green vertical line, ~1/4 inch, appeared in the screen, surrounded on both sides with a hazy ~1.5 inch line. Frustrating as finding a technician thru LG has been near impossible. We'll see as this is now in month 2 🙄.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to get the LG OLED 42 inch for my new apartment. The brilliant display makes watching video an absolute pleasure. I retired a Plasma TV that I thought could never be bested. I was wrong. The absolute blacks and brilliant colors make the display the best and the sound improvements add watching this TV a absolute pleasure.

Beautiful picture, but don't mount it on a movable mount because it's too tempting to grab the screen to move it. I cracked the screen corner with almost no pressure and destroyed the TV. The repair bill for the screen is more than the TV cost new. I was using it as a computer monitor and needed to move It from time to time to view it as a TV instead of a monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing TV. I never knew movies and games could look so good. OLED is the way to go. I primarily use this TV as a computer monitor and so far it has been great. It is perfect for gaming with all of the included features.

Bought a cheaper smart tv and returned it and replaced with the 55 INCH OLED. The difference in picture and sound quality was well worth the extra cost of the LG. When you consider that we spend a couple hours in front of the tv daily, it was a no “brainer”. The clarity when watching football games is amazing. I read many reviews before I made my choice. The old saying you get what you pay for proved to be accurate again.

This is an excellent tv, no question about it. But, getting to the point of enjoying it is a hurdle. To begin with, I had to use youTube to find a third party video on how to assemble the base and set up the tv. Once set up I had to study youTube videos on how to configure the tv. Eventually I found that the information that is needed is mostly on the tv itself, but one has to learn to navigate with the remote before finding that information. There was also the disappointment of finding that there is no wired headphone out. Once the tv was up and working I wanted to connect the audio to an amp that drives my external speakers. It was a challenge to learn the lingo and the details of the optical out port. The task was made more difficult in part due to the fact that, in my opinion, the software to configure the optical port for PCM output only works if the sound is set to play on the tv built in speaker and via the optical out port. If the selection is made to have the sound just come from the optical port alone the port does not have the needed PCM output. I do not know if this is intentional but I suspect that it is not and that there is a bug in the software. In any event, with PCM coming from the optical port and the internal speaker turned down there is beautiful sound coming to my ears. After the challenge of learning the ins and outs of the tv I am very happy with this 4K tv.

The TV is great! Fits with me and my family's needs and looks great. I like how thin it is and how easy was to setup. One suggestion - the channel lock/unlock feature is a bit distracting when changing channels because each locked channel appears. I would have preferred only the channel delete/restore feature only. That way you go from channel to channel without seeing a "Channel Locked" screen.
