When the USB port stopped working on my Nikon DSLR camera I contacted SquareTrade to see what the process was to have the camera repaired under the warranty. They let me know it was still under the manufacturers warranty so I contacted Nikon and sent it to a Nikon repair facility as instructed by Nikon. I was originally sent an estimate by Nikon stating there would be no charge and was glad there would be no cost to me. A few days later I receive a re estimate from Nikon saying the repair would be 173.00 because it was not related to a manufacturer defect. I immediately called SquareTrade and explained the estimate from Nikon and was told that I would need to pay for the repairs and would be reimbursed after they received a copy of the receipt from Nikon showing the repairs where done and paid for. I expected this to be a long process but was very impressed with the quality of service I received, the excellent communication and the speed of which I was reimbursed. I will make purchasing a warranty from SquareTrade a part of any purchase I make in the future when it is offered. Well worth the money.

I have never been a fan of warrantys, but I bought it anyway. In less than 5 days my camera was shipped and returned to me in perfect condition. I dropped my Nikon P900 and broke the telephoto feature. Tracjing the camera, it was repaired the same day it arrived, and shipped back to me that afternoon. I will always get the square trade warranty.

My water proof Fuji camera leaked recently when I took it into the ocean to go snorkeling after only having it for a few months. Square Trade saved me...it took less than a week for the entire process. It was easy, fast and my camera was returned good as new! I would highly advise purchasing this protection plan to cover you in the event something happens!
