With this all natural honey cough syrup that's not the case. My daughter loves drinking her "honey syrup" and it definitely helped her sleep through the night.

I try to steer away from all of those things and try to keep it as natural as possible for my children. They didn’t mind the flavor. Seemed to have help relieve the symptoms. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Burt’s bees Nighttime cough syrup is Amazing! My little one has been having a lot of trouble with her allergies, especially at night coughing so much she was having a difficult time sleeping. She does not like taking cough syrups as a rules, but I gave her this wonderful grape flavored syrup and she was like “ more”. You can definitely tell it has Manuka Honey in it because it is thick like honey. But the best thing is within half an hour after taking it, she had stopped coughing and fell asleep. She slept all night without waking up coughing and was happy to take it again the next time she needed it. Definitely recommend this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this cough syrup has 100 % natural Manuka honey. And is a product of burt bee's. It did help with soothing itchy dry throat and taming down cough but my little one did not like the flavor.
