500 miles; seems ok but louder than old tires

These tires replaced the OE Dueler H/L Alenza on my Tundra. So far, I have about 500 miles on them. The ride is better, and the new tires seem to have better grip in dry and rain than the old tires. However, they are louder, especially in the 35-50 mph range. Once up to 60 or so mph, they aren't singing quite as loudly. I specifically sought out tires that were not AT (all terrain) because I didn't want to hear a lot of tire noise. Maybe its due to the width (275/55R20)? Not sure. So if you want a really quiet tire, the Alenza AS Ultra is probably not it. I know Bridgestone makes an excellent tire, and I like that these tires are made in the USA, grip well, ride well, and hopefully function well for many miles as a good tire. But the noise is a put-off, and I just hope maybe it gets better after some more riding.

New Tires

Just replaced original Bridgestone Alenza on my Highlander. Hoping I get more than 32k miles with new Alenza AS Ultra. No problems with ride or comfort but disappointed with mileage on originals. I'm trusting Bridgestone to deliver with the AS Ultra.

So far, I'm impressed

The tires are great so far. The only reason I didn't give it 5 ✨ across the board was because i can't really say how they wear / longevity. But if they last longer then all the other tires I have purchased in the past ( other brands) then they will be worth every penny. I have a good feeling that they will.

Replacing Alenza Duellers

I drove my Alenza Duelers for 8 years and put over 80K miles on them along with an additional 20K flat towing miles behind my RV. Those tires wore evenly which is remarkable of a 4WD vehicle; and still had a lot of tread depth left. However, I decided to replace them even tho they had served me quite well and may have a year or two more left on them. The new Alenza AS Ultras have already impressed me with a smooth, quiet ride that I am sure will not disappoint in all weather conditions for many more years. Great tires! The best!

Don't buy these Tires

I have a 2005 Toyota 4Runner that has really low miles and is in exceptional condition, and so I wanted nothing but the best for it. I previously had a set of Bridgestone Alenzas on my last 4Runner and they were awesome. Smooth, tracked straight, great in rain, and incredible tire life. They were replaced by these which are supposed to be amazing but they're not. With these being more expensive than the top of the line Michelins I had high hopes. They perform like a low end tire with a high price tag. Terrible in the rain, balancing issues, the car won't track straight anymore and is all over the road. The only thing they have going for them is they're quiet. I wish I would've got something else. After spending nearly $1500 I now have to live with my car driving terribly, or fork out more money to replace these brand new tires with something else. I travel a lot and these tires make the car almost dangerous to drive at highway speeds. I constantly have to correct the steering wheel because it just follows the road. Do not buy! Most expensive means nothing!

Amazing Difference

My Continental Tires were at the end of their 60k life, so I shopped for Firestone LE3s but -- thanks to a promotion -- bought the Bridgestone Alenza, instead. I immediately noticed a difference in road comfort and noise reduction over the same route I have traveled for almost 20 years (including 15 of those on LE2s).

Overall good tire

I bought ALENZA AS ULTRA 265/50R20 as replacement for original ECOPIA H/L 422 PLUS. With Ecopia I had 69.000 miles at time of replacement, could do couple more K but did not want to push the limit as they were rated to last up to 70K miles. Alenza so far has really good comfort ride, it is more quiet than Ecopia, provide good stability and so far, I am happy with performance and buy. Drove a little bit on snow and tire had good traction, I hope Alenza to last at least as previous tires I had. The only reason why is getting 4 star and not 5 is that my mileage per gallon went down about 15-20%.

Luxury Tires

I replaced my Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires with Bridgestone's best luxury tires based on the recommendations of the tire store. After 300 miles the Bridgestones are considerably noisier and ride tougher than the Michelins. Also notice steering is a bit more unstable. It feels like sidewalks aren't as well made. I'll drive them a while longer hoping they perform better before asking to exercise the 90-day warranty now being offered

Terrible tread life

BMW X7 comes with these and first set lasted only 23k miles whenI usually get 40k plus on prior X5 run flat low profile tires. Replacement set only last 11k miles of almost all highway driving - by far the worst tread life of any tire I've ever owned.

ALENZA AS ULTRA, early review

Only driven 300 miles on them but already can say handling is improved over the stock Michelins which only had 24000 miles on them. The are a little louder than the Michelins, but still vey good. Tried them on a little snow as I needed a better tire for weather conditions in Michigan as I deliver meals to elderly people and need to be safe, these seemed to did in well for an all season tire. So far happy.
