Great sausage, meh buns

We bought these several months ago and have only eaten half the box. While the sausage portion is great, the bun is just plain terrible. When microwaved using directions provided by the box, the bun becomes tough and hard to bite through. Perhaps we got a bad batch, but nonetheless my children won't touch.
