Very strong and helpful

I purchased this item to keep up with my two kittens who scatter litter outside their box and leave crumbs, etc in their feeding area. It's so much easier now to maintain my floors without having to vacuum everyday. I use it on hardwood, slate and marble floors, and it does a terrific job with minimal effort. I had no issues with the dustpan edge experienced by some other reviewers. So likely to have been a manufacturing defect for a limited number of products rather than a systemic design defect. The dust pan hinge works effectively to keep the debris from falling out on the floor again. Best of all, I can thoroughly and quickly sweep my floors without having to stoop or bend, a godsend for my back. There were two reasons I didn't give the item five stars. One is the cheaply made broom with a narrow bristle width and the bristles themselves too soft and sparse to sweep debris into the pan. I tossed it and am using a light but higher quality broom that works perfectly and fits the clip device on the lobby box handle. Secondly, this item is ridiculously overpriced at nearly $40.00, particularly considering the useless, poorly made broom attachment. All the parts are plastic, of course, so unlikely to endure heavy usage over the long term. I really needed a cleaning device like this though and give it a qualified recommendation, per the drawbacks noted.

I bought the model prior to the current one being sold. I have no intention of buying the current one the replace my old one. I have three large inside dogs and I would use my dust pan at least every other day to get all the hair and destroyed toys out of the floor. I found the broom to be worthless, I'm 5'10" and had to bend over significantly to use the broom, the dustpan handle is slightly longer. The broom does attach to the dustpan, which is a great way to make sure they stay together and you don't have to go hunting it so if you are vertically challenged the length may not be an issue for you. The broom seemed to be well made and swept great it was just too short for me. I would use my regular broom to sweep everything into the pan however since the pan didn't close shut by the time I would walk to the trash can a lot of the hair and fuzz would get blown away by the fan or the breeze created from walking. We did use this a few times to gather liquid (water) and were very glad we had this nice big pan with a rubber front edge that made good contact with the ground. I was planning on replacing it with a dust pan that folded closed and demoting this one to the garage for the porch however in less than a year the bottom has a huge crack in it! It hasn't been misused, overused, moved from one location to the next (with the exception of taking it to and from the trash can) and I didn't even bother folding the handle down but it couldn't even last a full year. For the current price online it would be ok to buy again but I paid twice that in the store. If it can't handle my home use there is no way it could handle constant commercial use. For the current price it may be good if you have employees that tend to 'loose' things but if you want to buy something that will last you need to keep looking.

I love this set because it's so easy to use. No longer do I have to search for a dust pan since this one is easy to spot..the broom is actually better as far as getting the dirt up because of the compact design. And last but not least...it is made in the USA!!!!!!! When Sam Walton brought the stores to us..he always focused on MADE IN THE USA. Thank you SAMS and LIBMAN for making quality products!!!

I brought this a couple month back, and I have to go to another store to buy a seperate broom because the broomstick is about 13" shorter than normal. I have to bend my back to use this broom, and it hurts my back. The broom was ok, but the stick is two short for me. I am 5'4. I hope the manufacture will try the broom themself.

I have owned one for 5 years and I just broke the dustpan. My own fault for not taking care of it like I should have. I am back to purchase another one. I do wish the dustpan was a little lighter and a little more compact. It does come with a smaller broom, but I just use the broom to put the dirt in the dustpan, not to sweep an entire room. It's a great size if you want to get a jumpstart on teaching your children how to sweep up their own messes :)

broom is rigid and doesn't sweet well at all, the dustpan is bulky and hard to use, the broom handle is short (i am 5'5) and its too short for me, overall just a waste of money

This is NOT a full sized broom. It is a dustpan with a mini broom. The broom handle is so short, that is makes it tricky for someone even just 5'2" to sweep. Also not impressed with shipping packaging - it was simply wrapped in plastic wrap.

I spent a small fortune on different vacuums trying to find one that would work for our hardwood floors for daily use. This is small enough to store in the pantry and pull out after every meal. The kids can use it too, even better.
