have 18k on tires great in snow ok on ice a very soft sidewall so no lateral stability. Cornering very soft they randomly shake severely about once a week the fronts will shake , stop and let sit an hour they are ok again. balanced three times still shakes.

The Weatherpeak tires were a very nice smooth ride and quite. Will see how they do the winter here in SD. Roy was great and seemed very honest and was able to answer all me questions, made me very comfortable. The only issues I have with Firestone is I had to drive 8 hours round trip not including the time at the shop. Looking like I will be paying cash from now on while I am living here in Mobridge, SD. We need more firestone shops a lot closer to Mobridge, SD. Also it would be nice if Firestone would work with local shops here and in smaller towns. The closest shop for me was in Rapid City, SD, so with that said I most likely will not be going to Rapid, City to firestone as it is an all day drive. Just wish the Firestone allow us to use our card for local shops like the CFNA card does with local shops here in Mobridge, SD. Other than this big issue; I am happy with my new tires.

I just bought these tires so I can't comment on durability personally, but the handling is terrific,.the ride very quiet and the tread looks and feels solid. On durability I went with good wear on my Bridgestone Potenzas holding well on another of my vehicles.

Replaced the Firestone FT140s that came from the factory at 42k miles. They gave a harsh ride with lousy snow traction and hydroplaning on wet roads. I love everything about these 215R50-17 Weatherpeak tires except my highway mileage has dropped from 43mpg to 37mpg. Haven't tried them in snow/ice yet, but they are incredible in heavy rain with standing water. Quiet, great feel, and they absorb bumps well. Fingers crossed that they last as well as the warranty indicates.

These tires have great points and awful points. The good: traction on these tires are fantastic. Amazing stopping distance in wet and dry weather. Also, if you enjoy feeling the road, you will like these tires, you can feel the difference very clearly of different roads. The bad: you can feel everything with these tires, they are only a smooth/comfortable ride on fresh asphalt, anything other than that you can feel everything through the car and in some instances hear it. My tires also hit a resonance frequency at exactly 43 mph, and they hum exceptionally loud at that speed and vibrate the seats, building from 40 and gone by 45 on most road types. I have had the tires balanced 3 times and the alignment checked, everyone claims it is absolutely the tires causing it. If you want great traction and detailed feeling of all road types these tires are for you. If you want a smooth and quiet ride, my preference, stay very far away from these tires. My biggest annoyance with it is that the rating say comfort should be high,and it absolutely is not.

For a 70.000 mile the tread life didn't last long after 13.000 miles my back tires only had half the tread life and my front tires where shot and the Firestone dealer where I bought the tires from wouldn't cover the warranty on them they gave my a big run around on them will never buy tires from them eany more

So far the WeatherPeak's have met or exceeded my expectations! I swapped out the stock Yokohamas immediately on my brand new Subaru as I could tell they just wouldn't survive a Minnesota winter. I commute 100 miles a day on a sketchy stretch of highway that frequently produces blizzard like conditions. I needed a tire that would perform well not only on ice & snow but also on dry pavement during the summer months. I also needed a tire that was quiet, comfortable, durable, handled well and provided good gas mileage. The WeatherPeak's checked all the boxes and I'm very happy with my buying decision. I not sure about the durability as I've only put about 1000 miles on them to date, with a 70,000 mile warranty I'm assuming they'll hold up.

We have driven on this tire for about 3,000 miles from Texas to Deep South Florida. It handles every bit as good as the EL440 that came stock on the car, but it does way better in the rain. I drove it going 65 through some well grooved roads on I-10 and I-75 in some heavy downpours. I never lost confidence, and the car never lost its grip on the road. Wet driving is an area I can definitely say this tire does great within. The MPG has picked up about 1/2 a mile per gallon as well. Anything helps these days!

These are our first new set of tires to replace original factory tires. We travel from NM to WY quite a bit, and the weather is ever changing. These were smoother, quieter, and sliced through the rain VERY well. Feel much safer with these tires. Glad I spent the extra money to upgrade!

Nice tire but make sure that they road force balance them. I've had 2 vehicles for these tires. Both had high (bad) road force values but my local Firestone guy made good on them all and replaced the bad ones right away. So now we have very smooth, great riding tires on my wife's Q5 and my sons Sante Fe. I have firestone LE2s on my Nissan Frontier, my daughter's Lexus ES330 has Firestone weather grips and my other sons Crown Vic had firestone PVS's have to say I am a Bridgestone/Firestone fan.
