It's a good container for storing dry goods inside. Howeve, I purchased this to fill with bird food to leave outside on my deck. It doesn't keep all moisture or rain out. To use outside it needs to be out of the rain.

I got 2 of these to store bird seed and scratch grains. I filled one with seed. There is a 'dipping' door on the lid that also contains the spout. I feed with a 2 gallon bucket. I proceeded to open the spout with some difficulty. I picked it up the 'dispenser' by the handle and tipped and aimed the spout into the bucket and the door fell open and dumped seed everywhere. The door doesn't close tight enough to hold back the contents.

I live in an old house where bugs love to make their way inside and I can’t leave any paper or cloth bagged foods to chance. I bought two of these. One holds the 50lbs of rice I get to last the year and the other holds my bulk flour and sugar (still in the bags) and I have plans to buy a third. They’re perfect for keeping unwanted pests out of your food supply. I don’t use the spout on the lid for pouring the rice because it’s not necessary for the amount that I make, so I can’t comment on that. However, this is a fantastic product. Love it!

Great idea. Need to realize that 40 lbs of pellets is still 40 lbs. for me, the first time using, I apparently didn’t have the lid closed tight. So I had some amount of mess Also don’t know how I’m going to store 4 different woods types. That’s easier to store rolled up partial bags in a tub

I stumbled across this storage container and originally got one for my dog food. Then I went back and got a couple more for my flour and some other dry goods. It is perfect. I can even take them in my camper if I need to and it keeps the rodents and bugs out. Thank you so much. Hope they keep them for awhile as I can't afford to buy more than one at a time as I am on Soc.Sec. and retired but I will be getting one each time I visit Sam's Club that is for sure.

This was my second purchase of this type of container. I was buying this one to hold pet food. The container does the job, the lid fits on it snuggly, but the built-in spout on the container is sticking and does not open or close easily. If I were using the container for other things, the sticky, stiff spout wouldn’t be a problem. Try the spout before purchasing.

Good concept. Top snaps on tight. Has a large opening and a smaller pour spout. Only issue is the larger opening will suddenly open when trying to pour pellets through small spout causing pellets to go everywhere. Solved issue by taping down the larger opening.

I like that it is narrow and built tough. I use it to keep my dogs large milk bones in. I can pop it open and grab what I need. If I had one thing I don’t like. The lid has a collapsible spout I don’t use. It gets in my way when reaching in for milk bones. It would be good for storing pellets in.

The mechanics of the lid (spout and hatch) are tight and hard to operate. The lid is extremely tight which is good until you need to refill it, and it is uncertain if you will get it open without snapping the plastic or your fingernails. With only one handle on the side (and grip on the bottom) the container is hard to pick up and handle until you get your second hand on the bottom.

Leaks water thus making these useless outdoors. Whoever designed these to have a recessed lid yet allowed the red spout to be a slotted pour spot really failed the design objective. People want to put these outside with their grills, defeats the purpose is they leak.
