Every pair of readers I've bought at Sam's in the past 20 years eventually breaks... somewhere along the lens frame, almost always the bottom outer edge. But my expectations at this price are low and at least I got several months wear out of them. I purchased these readers less than 3 weeks ago. I was happy that these frames much lighter than previous purchases. Glasses kill my nose after a few hours, so I was happy that these are ultra-light. When they weren't on my face in front of a computer they were sitting on my desk... gently washed with soap & water, never in a case, or at the bottom of a bag, or lost in a couch cushion, etc. Today, pair #1 is already broken in the same spot that previous pairs broke after LOTS more time, wear and tear. I know Sam's like to maintain price points over time, in this case roughly $20 for a pack. Used to be 4 pairs/pack, now it's 3. Fine. But please charge $5 (or whatever) more or drop it to 2 pairs, and put some quality control into the product. I'm wearing pair #2 right now. I'll return to post a revision if pair #1's demise was an anomaly. Or more likely with the unhappy timelines for pairs #2 and #3.

These were great quality. I ordered the lowest magnification available online 1.25, but after trying them they were too strong. I need a 1.0. Not sure why Sam's Club does not sell 1.0. Those would have been perfect. 4 star is due to the lack of selection - not the quality. They are great otherwise.

I purchased these readers in January 2025 and the first pair broke on February 18th. The hinge is not strong. I would not recommend punching. The previous readers Sam's carried were made much better.
