Center pack is completely shredded into thin strips and bits. Thick bacon cooks up like shoe leather. Poor quality and surprised Sams Club sells such low quality bacon and then charges $14. Save your money for steak.

I ADORE this bacon - I'm ruined for any other kind of bacon. I'd rather go without if it's not Applegate Sunday Bacon. However, all of my local stores have stopped carrying it. I'm having a difficult time finding it. They carry other Applegate products and have plenty of the turkey bacon, but it's just not the same.

But since I was able to try Applegate Naturals without obligation, I figured let's give it a chance. And to my surprise it was a really great bacon, great texture and great taste. Went great my my pancakes and eggs. I will surely be trying some other there other products after this one.

I have lived in the USA for 25 years , and this is the best bacon I have had here. Bacon the way it should be. Gently smoked, without overpowering the senses. The cut is right, with a good ratio of meat and fat. And, not loaded up with chemicals! Thank you for making my breakfast an event to be anticipated all week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not usually a fan of bacon, but I thought I'd give it a shot with this one. I like the idea of no antibiotics in the bacon. I tried both pan cooking it in my cast iron, as well as microwaving it. Cooking it in the pan is definitely the best route. I don't like my bacon crispy, I like it chewy, and this definitely was chewy. The flavor was great, very sweet and savory. I might start having bacon more often. I'll definitely buy this whenever I have guests over, or for when I go camping.

Inconsistent w being way too salty often. Switched to Beelers bacon. No more sodium sickness. WA brand food in general sucks. Even Seattle food courts like PCC Markets overly salt their food. Just grossed out in general w everything in the Seattle area. Salt Lick City!

I purchase Applegate Bacon all the time. I love the taste and quality. Im not even a bacon person and your bacon used to be the only exception to the rule. Now there is no actual meat, just all fat. I used to marvel at how good the bacon used to be, now its an air-sealed pouch of Fat. There is NO meat on this supposed Bacon. My gf and I chalked it us as a bad batch maybe, but at the store, they were ALL that way. Its a waste of money now. Very disappointed =(

My only negative comment is regarding the price, $6.99 for 8 slices of bacon is pretty steep. But the cost of everything has increased nowadays and you get what you pay for. Great choice for bacon lovers!
