Needed to replace one I had used for 20 years and am very happy with my choice.

I use it all day every day for my colored pencils.

This one us stalling just like the previous one I bought. Might return it if it quits working all together. Very dissatisfied.

PENCIL SHARPENER IS OKAY

This pencil sharpener plugs into the wall. (It doesn't run on batteries.) I couldn't find that in the description when I was reading up on the product. My old pencil sharpener, Mr. Sharpy died after 37 years of use, so it was time for a new one. I chose Stanley Bostitch because I know their products are dependable. I like it and it should last a long time since I don't sharpen pencils that often.

I bought the Bostitch Personal Electric Pencil Sharpener, Blue Color to sharpen my colored pencils. I like to color in my adult color by number coloring books. I live in a nursing home and it helps to pass the time. I was using a handheld pencil sharpener. Once sharpened the leads would break or fall out. Since I have been using the Bostitch Electric Pencil Sharpener, none of my pencils leads break or have fallen out of the pencils. Very simple to use. Push the pencil in and hold it and sharpen it as sharply as you want. It automatically shuts off when full. Easy pull-out tray to dump the debris into the trash. I am so happy I bought this pencil sharpener. Bostitch is a name I trust. This is a must-have if you need a dependable pencil sharpener.

This pencil sharpener lasted two days. A piece of lead was stuck inside and there was no way to get it out. I tried to pull the screws out from the bottom, but there was no easy way without breaking the plastic bottom piece. We had an older one for years and never had issues until it was the end of life. This new pencil sharpener is junk. I would not recommend and I would not purchase another one.

I spoiled my kids just to not have to deal with the manual version again myself. I still remember and blood pressure goes up thinking how frustrating it was using the wall mounted one my parents thought was good enough. This baby is all you could ask for. I can't compare to others because it is our first. It is definitely in category of "small luxury", but 100% would recommend.

i have not had an electric sharpener in quite a few years. i chose this sharpener for the name. This line of product has been around for quite a few years! The sharpener works quickly and creates a sharp point, but not so pointy, it breaks off after a few strokes. I made a great choice. Maybe this sharpener will be around for quite a few years as well.

I purchased this electric pencil sharpener for my special needs daughter, to replace the one that I had given her, and was more than 25 years old, and finally crapped out. With this sharpener being made by Bostich, I would have thought that the quality would have been a little better. It works good, however it squeals every time my daughter sharpens one of her pencils. I hope that it lasts a long time.
