I needed something that wouldn't smudge and that would dry quickly snd was fine enough to write names on the presents. This worked perfectly! If you're looking for something fine enough to write on paper this could potentially work if you don't write small enough and don't press down hard. But for general use on items, it's perfect!! Definitely recommend!

The retractable pen works easily and miraculously does not dry up. I have not had any issues thus far concerning the retraction mechanism.
