Dried Blueberries with Amazing Flavor!

The Traverse Bay Fruit Co. Dried Blueberries are amazing. We use the Dried Blueberries in cereals, snacking, baking muffins and breads, making trail mix and in any recipe that calls for raisins. I think of all of our favorite uses, is making carrot and raisin salad but using the Dried Blueberries instead. We prefer the blueberry taste, which is rich, so good for you and full of blueberry flavor. This is the second time that we have ordered the Dried Blueberries and we will be ordering them again as they have became a staple in my pantry.

These are the BEST dried blueberries!

The dried blueberries from Traverse Bay are so good and fresh. They stay fresh for several months, if they last that long. I use them primarily in making scones and quick breads, but they are great for snacking too. I almost want to say they are crappy just so other people don't jump on the bandwagon with me (LOL)!!

Great Blueberries

Always happy with Sam's. We use these blueberries daily and really appropriate that Sam's Club offers them.

Dehydrated blueberries

At first we didn't know what to expect from these dehydrated blueberries, but once we started eating them we started putting them on everything and they add a kick of sweetness to every bite. I put them on Burritos, Chicken salad sandwiches, Cereal, Salads, mix them with Cranberries, Nuts or by themselves there just good and good for you!

Tasty Tidbits.

The package arrived safely. I will tell you that there is a bunch of dried blueberries in a 4# package. The quality is 100%. I froze about 9/10 of them in smaller freezer bags, so I got a good look at the whole shipment and didn’t even see one that I would choose to discard.. and I am pretty finicky. Assume they are from the Traverse Bay region in Michigan.. I was born and raised in Southern Michigan and have always promoted Wolverine State fruit. I put some on my Honey Nut Cheerios the other day and the flavor is superb..plus I truly believe the blueberry stained purple milk has to be good for you. Enjoy.

Dried Blueberries

Consistent and well dried. These blueberries have been used in oatmeal, salads, and by the handful as a snack. And once re-hydrated, used in pies, relishes. The last a very long time if they are kept chilled and sealed. I've never found any mold.

Great texture and shape…..but way way to sweet…not a naturally sweetened taste. I wouldn’t buy again…I had planned to eat them by the handful and add them to my trail mix (7 of my fresh, nothing added, dehydrated fruits, raisins and dried cherries/no sugar added, and 6 nuts, 2 salted the rest raw.) Not sure what I am gonna do with them.

These blueberries make me FEEL blue!

Disappointed, after reading so many other great reviews before I purchased. I now have 4 lbs.of dried blueberries that are practically tasteless. Unlike raisins, cranberries, & other similar dried fruit, these have no distinguishable flavor or taste, despite a fair amount of sugar. Back to frozen or fresh (not dried) blueberries for me.

watch out

If only 1 picture on this webpage doesn't raise any flag, try it. Attached a picture of the box that I received to help others who want to know its ingredients and nutrients before spending their hard-earned money. 1 star for Trans fat (1.25% by weight) and sugar (70% by weight) 2 stars for making it less healthy with oil and sugar (70% by weight) 4 stars for the blueberries and the cute box 0 star for blue-tinted bag and no response to some questions including mine 5 months ago: "Why packed in blue-tinted clear bag instead of colorless clear bag? Is the blue tint food grade?" The blue tint of bag makes it impossible to tell the true color of these blueberries before opening the bag. Besides, wouldn't a clear (colorless) bag be more helpful to inspect quality and encourage to consume in a timely manner before best-by date?

They're tiny, hard and dried-up-Very disappointed

Just like some of the other 1 and 2 star reviews the batch I received is hard and dried up. They don't plump up in oatmeal like the ones I get at Aldi's. The ones from Aldi's are on the left in the picture, the tiny shriveled-up dried out ones on the right are the Traverse Bay from Sam's Club.
